I wanted to tell you all I have very much enjoyed (not the right word I know but you get the drift) all the stories of the Kennedy tragedy. I was yet to be a twinkle in someones eye when it happened so all the stories interest me greatly. I love history and I agree Susi it is something to learn from.
I am old enuf to recall the Challenger incident (art school) and obviously 9-11.
I had the opportunity last year to visit the site of the crash in PA. Very moving. From what I understand they are having problems there right now due to financial issues of the farmer who owns the land. Security costs and all that happy horse crap. Anyway I thot y'all would like to see a few pics I took. I have more but I dont know where they are and I would have to scan them (remind me at a more awake type hour)
This is just ONE of the many plaques that are there.

This is one side of a very large bulletin board type wall/fence that is hung with momentos from all over the world. People have left caps and shirts and lots and lots of patches, mostly from rescue personal.

There are also metal guard rails that surround the parking area that everyone has signed with their thots. The visitor area is quite a distance from the center of the crash site but a flag is out there commemorating the spot.

OH and I LOVE ICE CREAM. I used to be a manager of a Baskin Robbins. Are you all jealous now?

Give me my Tillamook Cheese any day. I'll even drink Beverly for that.

I had one of the worst jobs to have on 9/11. I was a school bus driver, and my elementary route had 70+ kids on a slow day. Try telling all those kids that they are safe on your bus when they are listening to the world crash around people right before they get on the bus.

I flew on a Horizon flight just days after they reopened the sky, and it was eerie. You could cut the tension on that plane with a knife.

True enough. Consider it a plastic butter knife.

Pity the poor TSA screeners -- when they see BW on the watch list, call for a strip search, and see this:

:rufus: :D: :D:
