Or just someone who can't speak clearly. I think they were speiling the correct thing (Something about technical diffculties causing the stopage of operations). But it just wasn't heard. What's Screamin's policy about re-ads?

Re-ads are given to only the people that were actually on the train when it was evacuated. The policy is supposed to be that anyone that is past merge point (the base of the first set of the stairs) that they get a fastpass. I haven't seen it done the last two downtimes I was there for, but then again, I was running to go reset Zone 4 during one, and the other, I don't think we had anyone at Merge because it was a slow day. I don't know if we have changed that or not. It gets hard because then you get other people who weren't past that point saying that they wanted fastpasses.

we give re-ads within the temple, and a simle to those in the digs, typically, or we give them the option to wait, and if they leave then it's their problem. It's pretty much the lead's call, we don't have to give anyone dittly, and if we do, we're selective about who we give it to. and depending one how long they've been waiting, we gave switch passes to the exterior queue one ngiht after we held them there for a while, and then decided we were actually down for the count.

As for my location, duck, i think you're describing the north advance console, which many confuse with our unload position, which is the person by the stairs dealing with lost and found, checking heights and elevating wheelchairs. that was the most hectic day ever, the day was like a night shift, as far as the problems we had, and the people we delt with, and the night shift was like nothing i'd ever seen before.

THEN I DEMAND A FASTPASS!!!! (I was past merge..) JK.

Ok GMC I don't know Indy's positions so why would I know what it was called?

Also Tink, what made my mom and I so irked was the merge cast member and whoever was on the unload side of the west side train were just chatting not trying to PR with guests (we felt put out). I kinda shrugged and got on with life. And the merge cast member was doing a poor job of merging too! (ok yeah so sue me I was in that kind of mood saturday, I could have gotten rid of the fast pass line in 5 minutes and still kept stand by feeling like they were going somewhere)

Seriously though, if the grouper is doing a horrible job, then it makes merge even harder. Or, if we are only running so many trains, then it is hard. If I remember correctly, we had two sides going in the morning, it should've been easier. Are you sure it wasn't in the early afternoon? Like around 1:30ish? I remember when we cycled out and let the guests stay in line if they wanted to, the merge CM and the unload CM were standing around talking around that time also. hmm. Sure makes us look bad!

Ooooo! I hate when they don't double group! It's like they don't even think about how hard they are making it for the merge CM. I try my hardest to double group, and then once a train comes in and the gates open, I send a third group down.

that bothers me too, when i'm at a console in the station, mainly belts and load, i expect my line to be double grouped, and i hate it it when the grouper walks each person to thier spot (granted they're quick about it) i double group it, and then goo look and see that everyone is in the right place, and try to fill any single spots. It's even more annoying when you're trying to get a jeep grouped and people A) group themselves into the front. B) stand there and look stupid while you're waving them on to thier number. C) move up and kinda wander around. D) all of the above and the worst. E) Can i have the front. Can i have the front. Can i have the front, and in the mean time we're sending empty seats, our front row line is longer than standby after fireworks, and nobody can grasp the concept of, this is the line, wait over here for me. (people have this tendancy to try and do it themselves, which is no good b/c they usually have like six people, and i have to make sure i group them for maximum seat efficency. I'm complaning, and talking alot.

Just a little intro before my story. I have been gone for 2 years on military leave and only been back for about 3 weeks.

So I was at Splash Monday night when I had just got the rotational bump to tower. Not 30 seconds after I sat down at the tower console we got an auto ride stop (log spacing screwed up at A lift). That was definately not my first downtime at Splash, but like I said, its been 2 years since I ran one from tower. So the funny thing was that the ride stop started blinking and the alarm was going off, and I just sat there and looked at it thinking it was a recoverable station stop and I was just waiting for the station CM to recover from it. Fortunately the guy I bumped had not left the tower and snaped my out of my daze and i got jobin and took care of my business. I was just amusing to sit there and not realize what had happened.

On PLOA till March, waiting out my time to return as a Space Ranger (Space, not Buzz)
