Don't know about DL, but they sure work here at WDW. I've seen more than one CP who thought he had a scam we'd never seen before get walked out in handcuffs while someone explained that their 6-month tour had been extended to 5 to 7 years.

My favorite was the CM at the Camera Center. He got someone else's ID, and every time he did a cash transaction he used their code to take the money, then refunded it to his own pocket. The funniest quote from his "exit interview":

"Did you think we were joking when we showed you the cameras that are pointed at the registers?

"Yeah, but I didn't think you'd figure out it was me doing it."

"Well, we got a bit suspicious when a woman who has been out on maternity leave since the first week you were here started having transactions on all your shifts."

DL Security told you abt cameras in/at ODV wagons?? I'd more inclined to think your Leads & Rob would give you this FYI. DL Security usually doesn't point out cameras. In 2000 ODV set up a sting in the counting room. At least 6 ODV CMs were walked out. Idiots!

What seems to be a problem is when some stupid cast member gets fired. They keep their ID and clothes. They will let their friend borrow the clothes and change once they get into the park. This idiot will walk up to a vending cart and say "Hi, and a Barney, I am your relief, it is your break. That vendor takes off on a 15 and comes back to find that the fake relief is gone and so is your money. Now the goal is to check to see who the relief is. Check the ID, get a mental description of the fake cast member and stay on the cart. Also, the carts have a lock area and the cast members are told to lock all the remaining money. The best way it to write down the cast member's name, personal number and date hired in. If you have a radio, call in and talk to your managers immedately.

No need to tell me this. Am totally aware ODV has this issue, even with ODV CMs who quit. :twisted: Thus I rely on APD & DL Security.

Hey, today I went to the skin doctor and was waiting in the lobby reading a magazine on cheer leaders. Why? I seriously don't know. I looked at the pom poms. They had small one and some that were large enought to shop lift a bottle of soda.

I remember hearing that Main Streeter. I remember hearing the leads telling me this story too. There was one day a trainer was training on a cart and his trainees turned him in for stealing money.

I remember seeing orientation groups come through. The last thing that a trainer would ask you, if you don't think you want to work in this field, quit and walk out. I saw about 1/2 of the group walk.

My favorite is when the newbies come in and think they can become a manager over night and make $17 an hour. Good luck with that. It takes about 10 to 15 years to accomplish that. :D:
