What killed me the most was people trying to tape the 3D part of the show. One guest even though they were cleaver enough to put the 3D glasses over the lens of the camera.
Seeing a little red dot in a see of cattle watching the show, was a give away some one was filming. If we had flash lights, some CMs would shine the light in their face and yell " No filming" over the show. The biggest give away was the glow on the face from the camcorder screen.
Come to think of it, is it just me or do forgien tourists record the most? Also, I see many local latinos film and then pull the " I don't speak English" card.
They give them a card?
Just hand it back and tell them you can't read it without 3-d glasses!!!

Mt theory, with all the money they pay to get in, they probably think they're
"special" and think they don't HAVE to listen. That, and a lot of people are just jerks

That, or you could just take it so they can't use it again.

Did you know that all the money the parks make, it goes to up grade the areas and attractions of the parks? I took a special walking tour of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland a few years back. The cast members don't get their money from the ticket gates. Each year it takes over $100,000 to re-furbish the plants and repaint the mansion.
Right now the Columbia Ship is dry docked and it is being rebuilt. It should be running by Nov. 7, 2008.

Gee, I don't think the Walt Disney Company would keep running the parks if they weren't profitable. So I doubt that the full gate receipts are going to refurbs.
Back to the original topic -- what are the rules about photos/filming at Finding Nemo, the musical? I was there in spring and thought I heard contridictory announcements: #1 No filming or photography #2 No external video lighting or flash photography.

I was there about a week ago, and a CM confrmed to me that even though my digital camera would take pictures and/or mpeg's without flash/lighting, they discouraged it because the light could cause a safety issue with the performers, and some people can't seem to find the "flash off" control on their cameras.
So I just enjoyed the performance without having to futz with the settings on my camera!!

I like the ones who try to film the big drop on Splash Mountain, then they cry to Guest Services that the ride broke thier video cameras...

And that is why this board exists.

I would avoid taking a camcorder on Splash Mountain. Yes, the water soaks you and the camera. You can dry out, but the camera is finished. My sister from Benton Harbor try to bring a old tape camcorder on the ToT and I ended getting smacked in the face when she lost her grip. It is just not a good idea. Leave it in the hotel room. :D:
