Re: The Bubble Ladys ROCK!!!!
Oh, don't be afraid. Main Streeter made me sign an agreement to send you back... in blood, actually. So at the end of the trip, I will send you back (grumble, grumble).
But it won't be the last time we see you. I mean, once you have been to Disney World, it's hard to stay away.

Um, maybe we're smart enough not to let anyone pack up the good stuff?Elena (aka: Bubble Lady) wrote:why is it that whenever something leaves disneyland here and goes to florida it never comes back?
Well, except for Toad ... and the Submarines ... and the Cinema ... and the original Imagination ... and Horizons ... and World of Motion ... and the Kitchen Kabaret ... and the whole stinking animation studio ... and Big Red ... and the Main Street Electrical Parade....
But we are letting them pack up the BA Wand! Maybe the BAH will be next?

By "BA" I guess you mean "Big A##" and "BAH" is "Big A## Hat", AKA Sorcerer Mickey's Hat at Studios?Zazu wrote:But we are letting them pack up the BA Wand! Maybe the BAH will be next?
I was glad to see the wand on its way down while I was at the World, it ruins the look of Spaceship Earth. Also, none of the other parks have their name on the side of their landmarks. There is no huge sign saying "Magic Kingdom" on the side of Cinderella Castle so why was there a huge sign saying "Epcot" on the side of Spaceship Earth?
I hate the hat too but I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon as Disney considers it the landmark of Studios. I hate how it is impossible to get a picture of the front of Great Movie Ride because of the damn hat.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Hey, I'm cheering over that one. I'll never forget when I came in January, took one look at that and wondered what the hell someone was thinking.Zazu wrote:But we are letting them pack up the BA Wand!

Shhhh! Don't give any ideas! Hopefully they learned "Don't f### with Cinderella Castle" with the cake, but you never know.

I actually like the hat, just not in its present position covering GMR. I mean, really, would they cover the front of Tower with that thing? I think not. But it's really fun to watch when it rains and a thousand people attempt to huddle under the hat.

Wand & hat will probably be shipped to DLR as MOS items. Kept in storage for awhile then auctioned off, & my brother will buy them!Shorty82 wrote:By "BA" I guess you mean "Big A##" and "BAH" is "Big A## Hat", AKA Sorcerer Mickey's Hat at Studios?

He'll not tell me where nor when DL auctions are, nor how he finds out abt the auctions. Like I'm going to out bid him.
My favorites he has are the 3 old blue & yellow Parade Support Trams. He hooks them to his truck & off we all go up into the hills. He has some of the bears from Bear Country Jamboree placed in his huge trees. I will admit those are very cool. Next time I go up The Wand will perhaps be placed at his 1 mile marker. My brother is very intelligent but just a bit "different." :D:

Hey MS,have your bro buy the 'back' car from a Monorail. That would make one 'kickass' SUV. :D:

If I was rich then I would be like your brother with Disney cast offs everywhere. He is normal sounding to me. It would be fun to have pieces of memorabilia from when I was a kid and I would love to have a flying saucer or other ride vehicle. I miss the buckets also and that would be fun to have on a ranch.
When can I go visit your brother?

I sorta miss some of those bears...I hope they're from the "original" show! And what about one of those "atomobiles"? That'd be cool to own...
I remember when they were auctioning off the "cars" from Space Mountain (I think), but the locking mechanisms had been removed, the wheels had been removed & the lap bar was in a locked position. I guess you could've used it as a planter!
