I think this is a good idea, they are going to have to crack down on it otherwise Disney will be driven out of business. I'm astonished at the amount of folks that encourage others to complaint in order to get something out of it.Big Wallaby wrote:I had a guy who has worked Security at the Value Resorts tell me that he has actually been given the job of watching the Board X's from just behind the front desk. The fastest he's ever seen a post go up and get used was 15 minutes. Of course, He made sure he let the front desk folks know about the post, along with the MOD, and they were able to head that one off at the pass.

It makes you wonder about some of those people over there. I've posted for years and the only time I was warned about my conduct was when I nicely said something to a lady about scamming Disney. She came at me hard with the "I'm spending thousands of dollars" speech and a few other choice words just short of swearing at me. So being that I don't take the crap from some stranger on the net, I returned the favor and got my hand slapped and the post erased. Her's wasn't, go figure. So I stay out of it now, it's not worth it.
I spend thousands and the family next to me did the same. What the hell makes you so special? People these days......
Things that make you go hummmmmmmm!

That's probably the best I've ever heard it put.Shorty82 wrote:You can't ask for magic, it just happens. It isn't magical if you ask for it.
I can think of a couple instances of Disney Magic that I've experienced, all completely unexpected. And even if I go a whole trip without anything like that happening, I'm just happy to be there golfing, eating at Epcot, etc.
Gawrsh, yah-huh!

One of my ex friends, her and her hubby would have passes to the park. They would go and make up stories and get everything they wanted compt. I saw them pull and few stunts and I finally got offended and reported them to security. Yep, they were busted and now not allowed back into the parks.
Don't scam Disney Parks! Disney can catch you and band you from the parks.

I keep thinking my parents raised me wrong. I would never think of pulling some of the stunts I have read here. It boggles the mind what some people think they are entitled to. Of course I am raising my kids the same way and hopefully they don't get the sense of entitlement that seem so pervasive these days.

You said that so perfectly!!! And I have to agree with Dr. Corey and Tinker Bell (and I'm sure at least one other person)...Board X surely does tell people how to act horrible and get rewarded for it. I have been flamed so many times because I'm a "goody two-shoes". Well, stuff it!!! I treat the CMs like I want to be treated, I don't expect things I haven't paid for, and I try and make the best of my vacation with my family.
I've had some truly unexpected and wonderful Magic Moments and all because my family was walking around enjoying ourselves (a shout-out to Brian!!!!). It's hard to reign in my temper when I'm on Board X, but I just pop on once or twice a month anymore just to see if anything new has been reported; it's just not worth the stress of visiting there and reading SG posts.

And if it happens all the time then its not magical anymore. I never expect anything extra. For me, Disney is magical just to be there.drcorey wrote:AMEN!
Disney is known to do random stuff for guests or to them... :D:
but do Not expect it everytime for everyone. thats part of the magic. random gifts or services.
Re: Oh bother! I ruined *another* vacation.
And here I am just wishing that I could afford a vacation to Disney. Last time I was there was in December of 2005. (Insert very loud whimpering). To make matters worse I have over thirty days of vacation left for the year with no way to use it since the winning Powerball numbers always appear on a less deserving person's ticket.
Just being there should be more than enough but in our 'me me me' society that just isn't the case. I'm beginning to think that when the Vogons come to destroy the Earth to make room for the intergalactic highway that it will be the best thing that could happen to humanity.

You mean they pay people to spy on Board X and rat them out to the Company? Where do I sign up? :D:
