In Lakeland, FL, there is a Hooter's Restaurant right off I-4 on US 98 that shares a building with the Hooter's Inn motel.

It actually makes sense. Why not monetize an established name? Look at the Hard Rock Cafe with their casino in Vegas.

Ko Olina DVC now has a name. It'll be called Aulani which translates to either, "the place that speaks for the great ones" or "the place that speaks with deep messages."

There are cruise ships from LA to Hawaii. Depending on how they're flagged ther might be a stop in Ensenada.

There are a number of different definitions. These seem to be the most pertinent.

Ko - wind-borne

Olina - To make merry; joyous, rejoicing, merrymaking

I could be wrong.
