Guest who earn a one way ticket to hell
Re: Guest who earn a one way ticket to hell
Sometimes it doesn't even cost anything to make a kid's day. Once I was watching Illuminations at Morocco, where there is a solid wall. At the place where I was standing, there is a "gap" (sort of hard to explain). The park was pretty packed, and as I was watching the show, I felt something nudging against me. I looked down, and there was a little girl next to me. She was shifting around, trying to stand on her tip toes etc. but she was too short to see the water. I stepped back, put my hand on her head, and guided her in front of me...the gap was right at her eye level. Didn't cost me a thing whatsoever...as a matter of fact, I think I actually got "paid" by the delight of seeing her excitement at the show.

Nice work, pal

Wow, this is one powerful thread! Going from the very worst of humanity to the very best of humanity!
I want to thank all the CM's who make these special moments for the MAW kids - my mom was the director of our local MAW branch for many years and I grew up with many wish kids as friends, and it helped me to grow up with an understanding of people with disabilities. I learned respect at a very young age. The stories we always heard of the wish kids going to Disney, the wonderful moments and unforgettable times, thank you all so much! These kids deal with so much in their young lives, between hospitals, doctors, tests, school, teasing, ignorance, and too many times, divorce or marital problems between mom and dad; the magic you give them on their wish lasts a lifetime!

Re: Guest who earn a one way ticket to hell
What's really scary about the guests who earned a ticket to hell ( would that be the last room in Toad's Wild Ride in DL??? Can we make them stay in there as a "time out"??) is how many of them are doing this in front of their CHILDREN. Great - a new generation of thoughtless, cruel people. I must admit - I'm a much better person knowing that my children are watching and learning from everything I do. It's rather humbling to think that your actions will continue to affect the world long after you are gone through your example to your children. I will also confess to using Stupid Guests (both at the parks and in the "real" world) as examples of what NOT to do. My 16 year old has her standard reply, "Check, Mom".
"Throw your trash in a can - not on the ground like that troll"
- "Check, Mom".
"You'll get more help if you ask nicely, not by yelling like that crazy woman."
- "Check, Mom"
You get the idea!
As the saying goes, everyone brings joy. Some by coming into a room, some by leaving. When my toddler boys would have a melt-down in the MK, I always told my daughters that we were spreading joy as I wheeled them to the parking lot and to their NAPS because everyone who we passed could say, "Thank God those aren't mine!"
And I'm glad we've gone from the worst to the better aspects of life in this post. I think Disney does that to many - alas, as this site attests to not all - both castmembers and guests.
Thank you, thank you, to all you castmembers for all you've done to make our visits so magical. I wish I could give you all a pay raise - you and TEACHERS. Not that I'm bitter . . .

You are right about the adults who do things in front of their children. I was with Pooh at Pooh's Playground and a "lady" cursed at me...in front of her little girl. I think the lady in line whose daughters were getting their picture taken was more shocked then me. :( And that wasn't the first time either.
I wish people would realize that cursing is not going to get them anything, not that way.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

God will punish those stupid and insensitive guests who call themselves parents and/or human beings. I try so hard to not take what they say and do personally, but on so many occassions do they personalize their remarks and actions.

I lurk around these boards all the time. Now I finally need to share. I have a healthy child, but she has alopecia universalis. Which means she's totally bald. Sometimes the comments from people and the way other little girls treat her drives me crazy :( ! Nova is 5. At safe-key she and the other girls play High School Musical all the time. The other girls not trying to be mean they are just young and don't understand, always try to make Nova be the boy. When we visit DL the CM's always go over the top to treat her like a princess!!! She couldn't feel more girly if she tried!!
I realize this is a WDW board, but our first trip to WDW will be April 22-28 at POR. That's why I'm on this one. :D:
Really!! Thank you all for all you do. The magic sweeps us away from the real world for a little while and all is perfect. That's why we always come to Disney for our vacations.

Gemini, we look forward to seeing you in April! We hope your stay will be magical.
NOW, back to business:
They should distribute one way tickets to hell to the following guests...
1) The guests who pretend to not know how to speak English so they can get away with stuff
2) The parents who become extremely and ridiculously upset and start saying awful things to Cast Members during height situations at the attractions, waiting in line, etc.
3) The people who ask stupid questions and say stupid no brainer phrases.
4) The guests who make up things to your managers just to try and get you fired.
THEY ALL CAN GO TO HELL AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEM CAUSE I WON'T

Yay for Port Orleans resort! Eat at the food court! They are some amazing human beings that work there, and the managment is the best I've ever had! And go to French Quarter and eat lots and lots of Beignets (pronounced Been-yays, not Beg-nets!)GeminiAngel wrote: I realize this is a WDW board, but our first trip to WDW will be April 22-28 at POR. Anyways... Back on Topic... One thing I can't stand is people who treat their family's disability as a ticket to the front of the line.
For example:
SG: How long is the wait?
Me: Ninety minutes.
SG: But what if I have this!? <Points exagertivly at an old woman in a wheel chair.>
Me (in my head): That, sir, is your ninety year old grandmother, and she looks like she's at the end of her days, so maybe you should go spend some time with her instead of trying to get a fast pass out of me. I know! You could bond while waiting 90 minutes in line to see Soarin'!
I hate when people would get mad because they had to wait... What do you want me to say? "I'm sorry your needs aren't special enough sir?" Be glad you're not as sick as the people who do get the green light or arrow stamp on their GAC cards!
Sorry... It's something that's always driven me nuts!

Re: Guest who earn a one way ticket to hell
Today, I mentioned doing something special for the guests - referring to the magical moments - and one of my co-workers said, "Nothing special about the guests" which made me laugh so hard. HE'S RIGHT! NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE GUESTS! :D:
