Yeah, this is one of my biggest pet peeves, I'd get it all the time at Small World. I'd simply say, "well the standby line is over there" and gesture to the full Small World promenade "and the fastpass line goes straight in" When I had been asked it a million times, I would occasionally say (although I was always worried I'd get a guest complaint) "Well, you may go in the other line if you like, but I assure you it's longer" I never had anyone go in the other line.if one more guest asked "Are you sure this is the right line we have fast pass" I was gonna scream

So why can't they do that with Mansion?!?!?!?! Argh evil fast pass.
Well the problem with the fastpass line as it exceeded the gate and the stand by line wasn't seen untill you turned the first corner around the house which weaved through all our switch backs. I was at grounds pulling out wheelchair guests from the fast pass line to screen them and send them in so everyone thought I was the merge cast member.

I remember when they first put fastpass in a buzz, which has the exact same ride system as mansion, minus the streatch rooms. It didn't need it. 4th of July weekend in 2000, just before they put the fastpass in the longest that the queue ever was, was about 25 to 30 mins. Now Chirstmas week the queue was closer to 90 mins for the entire day. The guests complained that the queue was too long before fastpass was put in, and I think it's justice that it's now longer. I'm almost positive that the same thing has happened at Mansion.
Elvis didn't do no drugs!
Yes it did ... well we're running mansion holiday in California so everyone and there mother wants to see it. Well this summer we did a little experiment. We stopped using fastpass at Pirates and Mansion. Pirates with Fastpass was a 30 minute wait. Mansion would push 45 on a bad day. (I don't work pirates so you pirates correct me where I am wrong). Then they pulled fastpass. Mansion's wait never exceeded 20 minutes and Pirates never exceeded 25. Hmm ... what did we learn here? Nothing. Yeah so Mansion holiday Standby stays around 45 mins to an Hour during the peak of the day then throw in the TOO MANY FASTPASSES THEY GIVE OUT and well its a zoo.coldfire409 wrote:I remember when they first put fastpass in a buzz, which has the exact same ride system as mansion, minus the streatch rooms. INDY HAD NO FASTPASS TODAY!!!! i dunno if we made our counts, but it was like mansion, never more than a 20 minute wait, keeping in mind it was cold, and wet all day, and probly low attendance, but still it would have been awesome to see what would have happened if there were more people, i feel bad though, i was horribly late, and when i got there, one of my mangers the grouper, i was part of the reason we were code 100 today, unless we opened before 10, and i swear Benny told me 12. oh well.
Gimme some soft serve!
Yeah the leads can change it. They tried to put mansion's ratio up to 90% Steve said "NO WAY IN HELL" so they brought it down to 75%. I was talking with Steve about it and well based on the ratio of the number of stand by we are supposed to send per fast pass we should be giving out 66.67% Fast Pass.
Ooo better idea....
REMOVE THE WHOLE DAMN SYSTEM!
