Re: SG Comments?
So that's the trick!
I am fluent in Latin, and do have an IKEA handy, as well as a Trader Joes, but I still can't put the furniture together....
I guess you have to have to have to hit the wine aisle at Trader Joes, make a feast that the Caesars would be proud of, then grab the IKEA furniture since you now possess the engineering knowledge of the Romans, and just take the boxes and use them to prop yourself up on the cushions and say the heck with it because you only need to eat with your right hand anyway!
(I knew that master's would come in handy! BTW, sucessfully defended thesis Tuesday and walk on 8/6!)

If you can't figure out how to assemble the IKEA stuff there's always...

Welcome New Person! :) I love your avatar! :)
Okay, so this isn't a comment but this is as good a place as any to post a little SG behavior from my trip.
Why is it that when you exit the ride at Imagination and go to the photo/email kiosks that people immediately walk up to the terminals that are clearly out of order when there's a line right next to them for the ones that appear to be working? (I say 'appear' because I waited for some time and the thing locked up when it got to the email screen and just froze. Do those things ever work anymore?) I mean, there's people standing there, there's an empty station that's dark, if it was working why wouldn't someone else be using it?
I must have seen more than a dozen people try to turn on that kiosk while I was waiting for the couple in front of me to try every single picture prop you could use before they too got stuck at the email screen and the woman snapped at him "You did it wrong! Idiot!" Sadly I think they were on their honeymoon.
How about this: I'm having lunch at Rose and Crown and while the family next to me is waiting for their check- the father pulls out his cell phone and begins playing a very loud, very irritating game on it. Ignoring his family and annoying everyone around him. If you can't wait two minutes to get your check in WDW without having to be entertained I'm sorry but there is something seriously wrong with you. Checking email even maybe. But a loud game at top volume? Seriously? Thankfully they left soon. I think the guy at the table next to me had had about enough and I didn't want to be in the middle when he said so...
though I think the worst SG I saw this trip was the one at the airport before I even got to WDW. We were in that area where the gates all merge down to this tiny lane heading toward the shuttles between terminals and she was towing three huge suitcases (you know, two on top of the biggest one) and TEXTING.
She kept stopping and people kept slamming into her bags. Genius.
I know I have more stories I just have to get them out of my brain. I had a couple REALLY happy stories too so thankfully it's harder to remember the idiots this trip :D

Of course I know people can know as much or more than I do. Nothing I have said has indicated otherwise. I think you're the one reading too much into things.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:just explaining it for you, as you seem to not understand that others may have just as much, if not more, knowledge and experience in some subjects.![]()

Latin almost ate me alive, and now I'm running a historical society that focuses on Rome. I may call on you for translations.

Re: SG Comments?
LOL, all of this Latin flying around reminds me of one of a WoW guild name (yes, that's Warcraft and I am a flaming nerd) that made me laugh: "Ominous Latin Name". Lots of guilds using names like "Dies Irae", etc., prompted this guild name. I loved it and would laugh every time I saw them run by. Sadly, my own guild was named "Praetorian Guard", so yeah...we were just as bad.DragonFox98 wrote:Es non illud veritas! :)

Re: SG Comments?
Reminds me of a story my mom likes to tell, from decades ago when it was fashionable for ranch owners to give their ranch a Spanish name, and to put said name and a silhouette of a horse on a magnetic sign on the driver's door of your pickup truck. One day she saw a truck with such a sign on its door. The name of the "ranch"? "YO TENGO NO RANCHO" :D:
