Thanks,
It has been pointed out to me that I have taken ownership in Philharmagic because I refer to it now as my theater. LOL Wives have a way to ground you sometimes.

That is my Golden, Riker, he was 13 years old when he passed on Valentines Day in 2009. There is a saying in the Golden World that states "I only hope to be the Human my Golden expects me to be". He reminds me to take a breath in the internet world. LOL
I have a new Golden named Riley who looks exactly the same but is 18 months old. There is a big difference between a senior golden and a puppy.
Leaving our Golden's behind is the worst part of going to WDW. Now, that I have read about people all sorts of animals claiming they were service animals in the forums at SG. Maybe, we will turn Riley into one.....LOL At least, he looks the part. :)
We saw a man in a wheel chair with two labs pulling him through Epcot near World Showcase. They were better behaved than a lot of the kids we saw.
Thanks for the warm welcome !
Patrick

Riker is at Rainbow Bridge & happy, but still brought tears as I read. Pleased Riley has a Loving, Forever home. :dog1: Have never had a puppy. I'm blessed by 2 wonderful American Cockers. They were both internet rescues from high kill shelters & give so much love. Cocker owners have a similar saying. Train Riley to be a Companion Dog. You'll never be sorry. :) We have Goldens training @ DLR daily. Owners often bring them to visit me b/c they recall I'm an animal person. Agree, most dogs are better behaved than children.

& dogs listen!! ;)

And rightly so -- you should be proud. I met a custodial CM on my visit to Anaheim last year who spent of lot of extra hours doing paint and detail work on Toy Story Midway Mania, winning a Spirit of Disney award in the process. I could tell that TSMM was just as much "his" attraction. I have no problem at all with the pride that comes from a job well done!

want a way to see SG's? shut down an attraction for whatever reason (safety, etc.) and see the ones that DEMAND the attraction be opened back up for them because they are leaving for the airport in ten minutes, and the ONLY reason they came for a week was to go on the attraction. (yeah, their logic is flawed a bit)
Or they will tell you how much they paid for a vacation and demand some sort of compensation.
I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count, and WDW 12 times or so. we have had attractions get shut down, or are down for some maintence. no big deal, move on to another one and we will catch it next time.
like I said, its more of a poor entitlement attitude than anything else.
Heh, wait until mid August when Toy Story Mania goes down. I'm sure there will be a lot of that

pbb,
Welcome to our happy home. My neighbors in my condo complex have Golden Retreivers. Smart dogs! My neighbor's dogs look like the continelle toilet paper dogs. The dogs are very sweat and love attention. The older one is almost 1 years old. The youngest is 3 months old.
I wish I could have one, but I have a problem with the animal dander. I have to wash my hands after I pet them. :(

Welcome, pbb!!! I love Riker's picture. I lost my Amber (Amby) on July 4, 2003...it was devastating. She owned me as only a Golden could...and she thought she was a lapdog! LOL I haven't yet been able to adopt another one...still too painful, but my dad just got a puppy in November after loosing his Golden in 2008. He is in contact with the President of the local Golden retriever rescue organization so I will contact her about adopting in the near future. But first: a fight with my township to put up a fence! :)
I liked your post; I think it many points spot on. And I think you will enjoy it here.
