When my sister and I were flying home on Jet Blue from MCO, they had the A/C on so high there was white mist coming out of the air conditioning. They even had it going inside where the pilots were. I was freaking out and thinking that there was something wrong with the plane. My sister said that the plane was sitting there for over 2 hours and they do this to cool the inside of the plane cool? I thought the plane was having problems and was going to crash.

It was probably caused by the calming gas generator being set too high. It's now standard equipment on all airlines so the passengers won't bug the F/As for pillows, water, peanuts, etc. It also reduces the need for passengers to use the bathrooms.

Hmm...great...I have to get on a plane in 9 hours, and I'm going to be extremely paranoid. Calming gas...
Thanks a lot, hobie!

Calming gas is just airline X's term, others call it happy gas. Just remember, if the masks fall out, grab it, put it on and breathe deep....

If you are going on a plane, to get rid of the fear of flying...My sister and I were at DCA and we went on Sourin over CA. We did that a few times. Then we went to Disneyland to ride Star Tours. When we went on our vacation to WDW, we were doing fine.
Remember, if there is a thunder storm brewing outside the plane, don't look out the window. Close the shade and you will be fine.
:D:

Gotta stick with the original. The TV remake theme music was done by the Grateful Dead.

It's not that I'm scared of flying...I just don't like to think of anything going...awry.
