You gotta remember, EB, that there's a lot of pet lovers on this board, and we all have this mentality of if one of our own's pet gets attacked by somebody who by rights shouldn't own an animal because they refuse to train it, well, we get pushy and demanding. Maybe we watch too much Animal Planet cop shows.

Please let me be the first to apologize for being pushy. We all want to see justice done in this matter, and when nothing happens we get a bit edgy.
EB, you're really a very intelligent person and we really enjoy having you around. You're very literate, have strong opinions, and are totally cool.

I wish my mom would let me be an adult, but she constantly overrides me when I make suggestions, want to do certain things, and in general acts like it's criminal if I'm not a clone of her. She watches these Nanny 911 shows, there was one on last night where the nanny had to deal with a mom who wouldn't let her kids learn independence; I can't see how she could not see the paralell between what's on the tube and what she does with me. If I have to sneak around to get things done, like get my cat her pills refilled, she says I never tell her stuff. Well, duh, if I told her stuff she'd blow her stack.

I mean, she went and got two fridge packs of soda for me, and two for her. If I take a soda out of my fridge pack, she yells that I should make them last. She hasn't even put any of hers in the fridge yet. So if I want to have one of my sodas, I have to wait until she can't see me, then the next morning smuggle the can out to the recycle bag on the patio. Honestly, I wish she'd figure out why I do the things I do. If I told her, she'd argue with me. I can't win.
