I have experienced that in real life. I was able to talk to a jury after a "forensic intensive" trial, and almost all of them were expecting "more" CSI type of stuff!!

Which is funny, because I, and others, teach that when presenting evidence, you have to "un-voodoo" or "un-nerd" the process, otherwise you get a confused jury (a REALLY bad thing)and are involved in a whole set of problems with, you guessed it, the defense attorney!

People also expect the cops'll solve everything and have the perp in jail in half an hour, too.

Of course, that happens ALL the time!!!

(you also notice that the cops get in shoot-outs, and NEVER have to write a single piece of paper!! Fantasy!!!!)
