I'd have to agree with you on that one. The weather reporters often say "we're looking at snow for Everett and point north." We live in Renton, southeast of Seattle, so we don't see too much of those snow systems.

Okay, we are getting MORE snow. It has been snowing since 8:30 last night and it is still coming down. They are predicting 2-5 inches for the metro area of Denver and 4-8 for the foothills. We are right on the line of that so we will probably see about 6 inches accum today on top of the 5 inches we already have on the ground. here are some pics I took this morning. You can see it coming down. You can bet I will NOT let Ralph out to shovel without warm clothes because it is still about 14 degrees here! Cold!!! Gad, I hope we can get out of here without too much trouble next Thursday! I will have to check next weeks forecast!
I hope Randy is okay in that ice storm the midwest is getting. I saw some horrendous pics and film last night on TV of that storm. It is huge, stratches acroos 14 states. The eastern side of Colorado will see some that ice storm along with snow today! :(
This is our *courtyard*!

Smart ass!
We need a snow blower. But if we sell the house in Spring, it would be a waste of money. Ralph shoveled the path and driveway again this morning. I cancelled a Drs appt because the roads are nasty this morning. When we called to cancel, the receptionist at the office said many workers and patients were cancelling today because of the roads. It is STILL snowing as I write this at 11AM Denver time and more snow is accumulating. I really, really hope we do not have a repeat of last yr at Christmas. Took us 9 hrs to get a flight after ours got cancelled and it took a friend in a 4 wheel drive to get us to the airport by 4 in the morning for a 9 AM flight which never happened! We got out at 6:30PM that night. Not this year please....... :(
I could not take it if we got snowed in again and had to go on standby and had to wait for 15 hrs at the airport again!!!! It better be clear and crisp next Thursday morning! We have snowstorms coming in every 3 days right now on the forecast, but not blizzards. Storms that produce 2-8 inches depending where you are in the city of Denver. It all accums, they plow it to the side and then you have 4-5 ft on the sides of the roads, but at least if it comes down like this, the plows can keep up and the roads stay clear enough, a little snow on them does not stop traffic, and the airport snow removal equipment can take care of the runways. They will have to de-ice the plkanes more aggressively, but they are used to that! It may delay some flights, but should not cancel any, unless...... unless we get a blizzard next week. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Pray for NO snow! Or ice!
Got a few more pictures to upload, of the drifts growing. You cannot see the pond anymore, it is under a drift and the pool cover is disappearing under snow. The roads are under about 3-4 inches pack and we have traction contol on the mini-van, so it should get Ralph to the Newsland store for the papers and grocery store for food. No driving 15 miles to downtown Denver for my doc appt today though. Just a mile to the grocery store from here. Snowshoe walking distance! ;)
I really hope Randy is faring well with the ice storm, that is much more dangerous than this snow. Be safe Randy!!!!!

I thought the new Denver airport was suppoe to be all-weather. Maybe they should pipe in some nuclear waste from Rocky Flats to melt the snow on the runways.

I'm not missing the snow at all.
The first thing I sold at the yard sale when I moved here was the snow blower.
Funny thing about snow.
I moved to FL on Nov 13th 2006, we get settled in and the Tuesday before thanksgiving, Lisa and I were shopping at the Publix down the street at about 7pm. We came out at around 8pm and it's now much colder and we are getting pelted by ................... snow! We are like, what's with this shit?
Yes, it was confirmed for the non believers on the 11pm news that it snowed is SW Volusia county.
