Sue: It's people like you and Kevin who make my day and give me my Magical Experience at Disney. I can have just come off the worst guest experience of the day and then meet some one like Kevin. My entire day is now much better thanks to a wonderful child who sees magic and dreams come true after crossing through the turnstiles.

Thank you for making my dreams come true. Here is a little thought for you, Kevin and the rest of your family: "When your heart is in your dreams, no request is to extreme" [Jiminy Cricket]

thanks so much for that little quote... sounds like it would make a nice needlework project.. not that i have a clue as to how to go about it but worthy of looking in to, eh?!

I'm so glad that we can give BACK to you what you give to us.

After our trip I knew that this was the only vacation destination we could go as a family, and be welcomed totally - all of us - and be able to go in the same doors, all the time, and not "stick out".... that in fact, some people will see Kevin as more than a kid that can't walk or talk. We bought into DVC the next year. (Shoot - it was going to cost $5,500 for one trip at the then DI to get enough space and a kitchen.... i wanted OKW like I wanted oxygen..... )

I like Rod Miller's version:

"When your heart is in your dreams, no request is too obscene."

"Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sits on you."

i like that one too, in fact! I am, first and foremost cynical. We don't actually dream much about the future in our house. As my youngest said the first time she rode ToT... "Too scary! Too scary!" :D:

But really - Pirate John - the one above despite being in the same pentameter (too long since english class, i hope i'm saying this right)... is the reason why the original quotes needs to exist. nobody gets through life without getting smacked upside the head every once in a while! and one MUST remember to dream - and build castles on them.. isn't that what Thoreau said?

Have you ever seen despair.com? they've taken motivational posters to a new and fantastic level.

When I read stories like this of man's inhumanity to man (or in this case woman's inhumanity to child), it breaks my heart. I wish nasty folks like the woman referred to in the original post would realize "There but for the grace of God go I". When I have to wait longer because someone is disabled that's what goes through my mind, it keeps things in prespective.

People who harass folks with disabilities for any reason should have a special place in hell.

In my lifetime, I've heard some shitty, asinine things, but I have to say that I've never heard anything so vile in all my life. And I never hope to. I find the more time passes by, the fewer the incidents are that give me hope for the human race.

But I have to believe in karma. I have to believe that both of those vile women paid in some respect for the nastiness they put upon the world. How the shit can you disrespect a child?

(I hope I can say shit on here, if not, I apologize)

Hey, when you *work* with semprini, some days you just get the urge to *say*, "Semprini!" Who am I to say no?

I suppose I can't tell someone their father smells of elderberries, either?

In that case, I really must protest.
