Interesting to hear you've lost Hold signals. At the WDW Railroad, we just *got* Hold signals for the first time last month.

Ah, Disney Logic! Gotta love it.

The only hand signal we use at Pooh is hold gates and open gates. No hand signals at Mansion we just yell at each other.

Oh dear... we got some really bad New Hires in at my place (RiverBelle). The other day, we had 2 no-shows and a call in and everyone has been getting hoardes of overtime because the new hires aren't showing up! I also despise when people get called in from other restaurants and they send us the people they don't want working. last night, someone from who-knows-where came in and he was the most uncooperative person in history. I had the "pleasure" of showing up how to stock milk and he ended up throwing a carton at a busser he knew ONSTAGE, yelling "HEY ASIAN GIRL..." to one of our regular CMs, and trying to con me into stocking milk for him ("umm can you show me how to line the milk on the tray?" cut me a break!!"). I ended up notifying the lead because we were all pretty ticked off.

I keep hearing more and more stories about the other person I was trained with - even from the trainer who trained us. I'm finding that people sometimes lack logic. Depressing.

The guy that trained with me at indy got fired, i don't know that he was even given the opportunity to be quit. sad. Yeah we use hold at indy all the time, and at trains... jungle, we have it, but we usually just say hold it up, or hold it up in no man's, we give the signal but the skipper can't alway see it, so that's why we say it in conjunction. but as for the hold signal, most of the adventurers i hang out with use it in day to day conversation, "hold" "hold please" and that fist goes up right near your face.

A lot of the new hires at mansion either don't give you a clear sign (we have been told not to use hand signals but to yell "CLEAR!"), assume you're clear when your not or go out to space when you are yelling clear. Oh well. Classic Mansion comes back at the end of this month lets see them get bored to tears.
