Screaming starts...key radio..let screaming go over air....clearly state, "ma'am, the <insert character line is closed. We will be back at <location> at XXXX time".

That should give your manager enough information to get security to your location and know that your guest is out of control. Discuss this with your lead/manager/whatever before you go out.

Security will explain the policy of good behavior and bad...as they escort said "former guest" out of area and maybe park.

The other thing that I have found recently works well, and it won't be as effective to type as if I could show it to you live, but I will try anyway, is this.

I take a deep breath.

In my mind (and NOT out loud) I just think to myself, "Someone needs a nap."

Then, I proceed to deal with them, and while calling them "Sir," or "Ma'am," I treat them like the child they are acting like, yet in a way that no one could accuse me of being condescending.

It WORKS. Like a charm, actually.

However, I would not recommend it until you get the chance to see how I do it, because there is so much that can't be communicated over type, and if you do one of a few things wrong, it could completely blow up in your face.

And I am pretty sure this post may be mentioned over on Board X.

Guh way too many guests come in thinking that what they read on a computer is set in stone.

We had more than a few problems with guests thinking it was EMH at MK when it was actually a MNSSHP, and because it was on a website, we were supposed to let them in.

Funny, my Mom, a retired physical therapist, had the exact same strategy when dealing with the occasional prima donna doctor. She talked to them like she would a 2-year-old, and they'd always walk away content.
