And if we factor in the fact that the front-most spire is NOT the tallest spire, the height difference between the castle and the train station becomes even less, making it even less probable that Tink could make it from the castle to the train station without some sort of mechanical assist.

So what kind of binoculars were you using?
Ho-say wrote:I have to disagree - I think there would a good probability that Tink would stop short somewhere down Main Street - imagine the poor girl just dangling over Casey's  let alone that she'd be landing in a guest area. The current landing zone keeps her touch down out of sight of guests.
Not at all. The window tink takes off from is MUCH higher then the train station. she would have plenty of gravity pulling her down.

There are times when Tink doesn't even make the current landing platform. There is no way Tink could make it consistently to the train station.

I believe the new cushions for Tink are the gym style mats and two burly guys.

Oh and Honda, just about anywhere in the hub area you can definitely see Tink is a person. In fact, got to Board X and search for Tinker Bill . There is a great up close photo of Tink in flight and yes, she does look like Tinker Bill in that photo.

It's not just height/gravity, my friend - you have to factor in the considerable additional distance that she'd have to travel....all the way down Main Street USA and over Town Square. As others have mentioned, sometimes she barely makes it to her current destination as it is.

You see a little colored dot and cant tel where its going.
Maybe if you weren't too cheap to buy a ticket and watch her from inside the park....
Why the hell would it go to Tomorrowland? That makes no sense at all.
Tinker Bell doesn't like the smoke from the fireworks. It's terribly hard to get off her wings. Therefore, she flies over to the Timekeeper facility and uses the old time machine to fast-forward herself past the smokiness.

Hey, that line works on SGs!
No one said she had to hit the building. What does she hit in Tomorrowland?
She doesn't hit anything. She has a handbrake to slow her down.

And she couldn't land at the train station (assuming they could string the wire that far), both for the show issue of being way too visible as has been mentioned, and because there isn't enough room in the station tower for her to stop safely and no way down except for a ladder in a closet. For that matter, there's no way to anchor the wire at that end, there's a lot of tension on that wire! The station is just not designed for that.

And if she tends to swear like a circus performer when things go wrong, there's a very good reason for that....

Of Course, i am sure any camera with a half way decent zoom can tell it s a person.

EXCUSE YOU!!!!!!! I have been to WDW over 200 times. I have family that retired from there. I have seen the fireworks show and tink fly more times then I care to imagine counting. I have seen it from many locations, including directly in front of the castle on the compass. So don't you DARE assume that I am some SG that does not know what he is talking about.

The CURRENT station, maybe not. But had it been set up that way from day 1 then I am sure the train station would have been built to accommodate the wire and landing. And I am sure there would be no problem running a wire from the castle to the station. It's not THAT far away.

I have a WONDERFUL reply to your comment but it would get me banned from this board, and your not worth it.
