There's another feed lot around Kettleman City on 5. You can smell that place for miles!!

True, but what if it was a straight shot?

That would be cool, unless it was limited to 12 mph :D:

So I am wondering
What happens to bus drivers that go astray?
Do they go before a firing squad? go back to the barn & clean buses?

We did have a wonderful ride back to our resort on night by "Nick" he was a delight.. totally fun, his spiel was wonderful...
If you know him (or if he is here) Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but Harris Ranch is nowhere near Fresno.

That's the place! If the wind is blowing in the right direction the smell goes all the way to Fresno.

Only for mass transit, such as a line to the airport and Amtrak station. It's no more suitable to the multiple-destination, small-group travel that's most of the on-property traffic.

To exceed 12mph, you'd need doors, and to keep the rugrats from climbing out the windows, you'd need to close them and run A/C, which is a really hard thing to do when your power source is steam. (There are steam ejector A/C units, but their efficiency is miserably low.

You'd also *have* to have grade separation -- no Stupid Guests going around the gates that way -- but as long as you're up in the air, you may as well just build a monorail.

And that is exactly what I would recommend for the monorails; repurpose them for long-distance travel to the Kissimmee Amtrak, MCO, and perhaps a single-beam line (with passing sidings) out to Port Canaveral.

And thanks for the stat on monorail and ferry capacity. 60k/h is a tough nut, knowing we could drop it to 40k/h would help a lot.

That scares me a little. Especially since I ride that same bus twice every day. I already knew they sometimes put the bad drivers back there but I don't like being reminded of that.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…

It's one thing to be fun, another to do things like... dance. Going around that curve at Toontown is one of the more technical moves a bus at Disney World has to make... not all that technical for a seasoned motor coach operator, but if you got your license at Disney World, chances are that turn takes some work compared to anything you do. Also, the fact it's a REALLY high curb should give one pause before dancing around it.

I hate drivers that don't drive responsibly... Question: How many Cast Members were on the bus when that happened? I hope you all stayed, because at that point you were delayed by an incident you could and should not have forseen. There should be no attendance violation for anyone who was on that bus, stayed on... it would be the right thing to do. Managers should note who was late because of that incident.

Shaking with rage for a second.
