Actually, the FL ID's have both a bar code and a magnetic strip.
I'm not sure how it works here either as I'm not in ticketing/turnstyles. My guess would be to walk up to the turnstyle marked CM's and guests and put your ID in the reader.

The ID's are not standardized? I would think that Disney corp. would use the same stuff!Cranbiz wrote:Actually, the FL ID's have both a bar code and a magnetic strip.

I've seen the DL ID and it is quite different.
Fortunately, it will read your card, as all you need is the Magnetic Stripe. Plus, when WDW CM's go to DL, we use our Maingate to get in anyway, and I think those are all the same, with the exception of the different levels for different employment levels.
Do I get a silver pass now that I'm a mod? I should, so that I can get SGT members in and stuff. :D:

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

As long as you don't wear around your neck like an AP, I think we can arrange something ;) (I've seen people do this with their Main Entrance Passes, honestly).Big Wallaby wrote:Do I get a silver pass now that I'm a mod? I should, so that I can get SGT members in and stuff. :D:
For the record, it turns out that I can just show my card at the gate. The appropriate policy just in case any other DLR CMs want to do the same thing later.
Now, does anyone if the ticket I would get would be a Park Hopper, or would it be 1-day, 1-park?Florida and California (FL and CA) Main Entrance Passes: Main Entrance Passes marked with the FL or CA site distinction may be admitted directly at the Cast Entrance turnstile by either magnetic stripe OR barcode. Should the magnetic stripe become demagnetized, the pass may be admitted using the barcode.
California (CA):When using a Main Entrance Pass with the CA site distinction, all Guests, including the Cast Member, should receive a Re-Admission Ticket upon first time entry. California Site Company ID Cards will not unlock the turnstiles.

I would think that CM's would automatically have "park hopper" privileges. NO?Cranbiz wrote:Should be a 1 day park hopper.

I know that when I've been let into WDW by family that are CMs I've always gotten a 1-day park hopper and the CM just use their pass throughout the day. I would think that DL would have a similar policy.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Is their pass "unlimited" in the sense that they can go any number of days, to any park, or are they limited?Shorty82 wrote:I know that when I've been let into WDW by family that are CMs I've always gotten a 1-day park hopper and the CM just use their pass throughout the day. (That is, your family CM's, not others.)
