Oh Wallaby, I'm sorry that happened to you. But that goes to show you that wherever a SG is there usually are a couple of Smart ones to back you up. Keep on, keepin' on!
It's like the time I used the whole, "any children left behind will be moved to It's a small world" and one of my co-workers got mad at me that I was making fun of another attraction. I wanted to be like "Grow a pair, this job is supposed to be fun!" ;)

Send that co-worker to check out Sonny Eclipse at Cosmic Rays. This VERY company accepted routine includes Sonny breaking into IASW and stopping with the comment "Why'd I play that? On my planet we use that song to break the enemy".
Or go over to the Tiki Room and listen to the entire exit speil by Iago. He mentions "I guess I'll fly over to the Hall of Presidents for a nap".
And the approved script for the Jungle Cruise includes the option for the very line you used (as I understand it..This one I have no direct evidence for). So using humor, even at the light hearted expense of another attraction is obviously not something that is frowned on by Disney. Of course a true cut down of another attraction in a mean, negative way should be avoided. But jokes about Small World, Hall of Presidents, Pirates, etc have a long standing in the parks.

Thanks! That's what I thought. It wasn't like I was being crude, violent, or offensive. But I'm too scared of being fired so I stopped with the jokes.

I remember the line about IASW and kids when we got off the busses!! Nothing wrong with it, seems harmless. (even remember one mother, with two small ones in tow, exiting bus and hearing it, saying"Oh, please..I'll even pay for that!!) Got a good laugh from everyone!!

CMGUY89 wrote:Well the thing is a no-strings works for any attraction. So obviously people want to use it on Soarin'. Though once I had a SG with a no-strings who wanted to use it on The Land...LOL!
Didn't realize that Epcot's no-strings were still good for any attraction. Over at the Studios, if we write one as a FP, we have to specify which attraction it's good for.
(I have actually written a Studios no-strings for Test Track once, but that was a pretty major service recovery situation, and before I even wrote it, I called EP Guest Relations to tell them what I was about to do and get their blessings)

Maybe the muscular couple had no balls due to all the steroid use!

Really, I sincerely doubt that they were even the tiniest bit scared, just sounds like what you said, just found something they could whine about and are going to try to get comped.
