The whole theatre shook pretty good. It sits on giant springs, so once it starts moving it takes a few minutes to settle. The brick walls had visible ripples to them!

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

The quake was actually a 5.0 centered north east of Ottawa. 18 miles deep.

It sounds like he was more likely acting as relay between police radios and protesters. And with this guys knowledge of computer security, he may well have hacked into the police computer systems.
This morning some geniuses robbed a bank, not far from that guys house. Since there was already a large number of cops in the area, the response to the robbery was huge. they ended up with a fleet of police cars and 2 helicopters responding, then tried to escape down a dead end street. 2 of the 4 were captures immediately, they other 2 headed down into a ravine. I'm sure the dogs will have them by now. In trying to make their escape they fired a shot at the police, near a school. Morons ! I hope the dogs get carried away when they find them!

I'm not sure if we should be relieved or not. Today's protest by a number of Aboriginal groups was both peaceful and dignified. Kudos to them.
But the police arrested this loon at a routine stop with a crossbow, chainsaw, sledgehammer and four baseball bats in his car. Likely not headed to a company pick-nick!

The incident happened just down the street from the hotel hosting the delegation from France. Where the hotel workers are out on strike! I really hope he was not headed for the picket line!
