There are quarter-press machines in several locations; they're more likely to have specific commemorative designs. I think there's also a dime-press somewhere in the MK...

Funny you should bring this up, because something came up last time my family and I went to DLR...

My wife really likes the Haunted Mansion pressed pennies and quarters in NOS. However, the machines are no longer there, and we couldn't find them anywhere.

Now, I know I could go to Board X and have an answer in, like, 5 minutes, followed by thirty posts agreeing and commenting how they're a waste of money, how could I not know where they were moved to, the exact date of their move, and what not, OR I could ask the fine folk here and get the same grief, but know it's all in good fun. ;)

So I'm asking...

What happened to the presses in NOS?

When I was at the Contemporary, I remember seeing the machines next to the elevators.

Yeah, they used to sit at the entrance to the area they did the Princess & The Frog Meet and Greet.

Yeah, I know it has a name, but I was a TL CM, not NOS. ;)

And now that I think about it..... I don't think the pin shop is there any more, either.....I don't remember seeing it, anyway...

Mom once told me that when she was a kid, the King and Queen of England were touring America, and their train was to pass near mom's hometown of York, PA. So my grandparents got mom and her siblings up at the crack of dawn, go to where the train is going to pass by, and like everyone else they put coins on the tracks for the train to run over as mementos. That was a big deal, because it was during the Depression, and my grandparents were far from wealthy. Anyway, the train goes by, but to everyone's disappointment, the King and Queen are still asleep, so they didn't get to see them and wave to them. They got their flattened coins, though. Mom said they had them for the longest time, but after Grandpa and then Grandma passed away, nobody could find them. :(

My junior high school got a drive by from Charles De Gaulle when he was president of France. The tires on his limo wouldn't squish anything. ;)
