As long as we're on the subject of colors.... I haven't been to DLR in at least 30 years, and have never been to Florida. Are there monorails that are gold or silver? Just curious.

Yep. The colors of the ten trains currently in service at WDW are: Black, Gold, Silver, Red, Orange, Green, Lime, Coral, Yellow, and Blue.

Florida has both a gold striped and a silver striped

the WDW Monorails are white and each has its own color stripe.
I hope my input on the subject isn't too soon, and I apologize in advance if it is for anybody, but here goes:
It would be interesting to see what color(s) they decide to use once they get an 11th and eventually a 12th train back up & running, if they do switch train cars to make one fully assembled train, and then eventually fix the other.
I thought that the colors can't be too similar so trains could be identified by color stripe from a distance. (which is why Lime and Coral both have the white deltas to distinguish them from Green and Pink)
Personally, I would like to see where the Disney "D's" used to be by each cab door be filled in with a graphic of some sort. I know that the D's were removed when Silver was repainted but I'm not sure about the other trains.

Important to note the Lime & Coral are the trains with the white spaces on each car referred to as "deltas"

They're gone?? I was just there on July 2nd and didn't notice that! One of the carry-overs from the old logo. I liked it.

When Silver was painted they didn't paint them back on.
Not sure if any other of the trains have been repinted since.
I know that Black was missing one of the D's on car 6...the side of the train that loads at Poly & GF
I just made this up really quick for a color stripe idea:

It's a shade of maroon with white deltas so it's not confused with Red, and a purple outline rather than the black (or red on Monorail Black) outline on the other trains.

just because it was too soon for me to hear it (and i'm not even a cm) doesn't mean i should have assumed that for everyone else would be.

Yellow and Pink
Lime looks a lot like Yellow from afar.
