Ah, yes. The UnDis. I've only been there once, meant to go back and forgot.
Here at SGT, we're proud to welcome the snarky. Sometimes, there are times not to be, but I think just about everyone here knows when that is (and those times are, in my opinion, few and far between).
And if this (
http://theunoriginaldistroublemakersclu ... topic/3293) is snarky, then count me really, really snarky. I find it downright respectful toward the company and one of the most wonderful things they host, and for the people for whom they host the event..
Normal Visual.

So all that Bruhaha was over someone that may have accidently overdosed.

Which is still sad, yes. But why place blame so quickly, on someone or a group that doesn't deserve it?

I'm not totally convinced the death happened at all.
The story keeps changing (first the sister spoke to the OP, now the sister only spoke to the OP's wife); why would the sister's ankles have been banged up if there was no ECV contact; why would a doctor have told the OP's daughter and mother to watch the sister all night if the sister never had an accident.
I have no idea why the OP would make up a story, but it just doesn't feel right.

Good point. I will say that I have had to deal with people that have experience the death of a family member, and a lot of times grief can make you lash out without thinking very clearly.
The problems with the story were compounded by the posters jumping in with added information that had really nothing to do with the situation, and ended up with the thread being closed after several warnings by the mods over there, for getting into an argument over ECV's. I don't think that was the intent of the OP, but we will never know.
I noticed that there seems to be a lack of "offical" news stories about the death. Not that it would mean it didn't happen. But usually there is something, even if its "a person was found dead and authroities are investigating"
There was also a bit of disinformation about who would investigate and so on, with some confusion about what an unattended death is.
AS a general rule, any death where the person is not in a hospital/care facility and is being monitered by a medical professional (Doctor/nurse) the death will result in an inquest. (this varies in different jurisdictions) and sometimes even that situation will required an inquest.
It just shows that things can be mis-understood and/or people jump to conclusions with little or no information.
I just hope it was a story in poor taste and not a report of a death.

There are a lot of lonely people in this world, and feel that if they tell a sad story, under the anonymity of the internet, they will get sympathy, and it will make them feel better.
The problem is, other people want more information. Sad lonely person is getting what they want.. and are more than pleased to respond with it, and as they get more detailed, the original story starts to change.
It grows like a monster, and starts coming back on the original poster. And it overburdens them, and then they panic, and try to fix the holes, which then continues the cycle.
Undoubtadly the OP will abandon this persona, and then recreate a new one.. build up new a new circle of "friends" and then start this cycle again.

IF this story is true, then its very sad. But it is also sad that this OP assumed so much wrong information. That is a very dangerous and hasty thing to do.
And just look at all the trouble it caused.

My friend who has lung cancer, he told his company about his condition. Everyone got together and convinced him to get help right away. The sad thing is that he was told he had 2 to 3 years to like. I hope they are wrong. I hope he does not pass away. :(

It's apparently been discovered that this was all a hoax.
Absolutely patehtic, IMHO. Ain't funny to joke about someone's death, ain't funny at all. And then to use the opportunity to attack the disabled who use ECVs for legitimate purposes.....

Please read post number 18. It explains what happened. Not a joke, apparently, just a misunderstanding. Who knows!
