^ When I first got my license and was driving solo, I would get lost but then I figured out that if I could find the park (PGA) I could find my way home.

^ lol yup... if I'm someplace and I want to ask for directions back to my house, I usually just ask them how to get to Disneyland, since that's one place almost everyone knows how to get to. If I can find the park, then I can find my way home.

God must love stupid people. He made so many of them.

I've been getting a lot of,
them: "Where's California Adventure?"
me: "Ummm... You are in California Adventure"
them (with confusion on their faces): "Well, where's the one that flies?" :?
me: "Ahh, you want Soarin' Over California!"

or this one,
Them: "So what's this attraction all about"
me: "It's a 22 minute film all about California called Golden Dreams. It kinda takes a magical journey back in time and shows you the different events that have occured here in California"
Them (to their party): "Oh yeah, let's do this one, it's the one that flies!" :D
Me: "Actually, it's not, your thinking of Soarin'"
them: "well, what's this one?"
Me: "Its a 22 min..."
WHY DO THEY THINK THAT A RIDE IS GOING TO LAST 20 Minutes?!

I commonly get at the Movie Ride

Guest: What is this?

Me: A 22 minute slow moving ride through movie scenes.

Guest: Is this a rollercoaster?

Me: :bang:

Then in the preshow, which is still part of the queue I get the guests asking "Is this all that it is"

Now I know when I go on an attraction I at least read the sign of the attraction and if it had the word ride in it. I know that I"m going on a ride.

I like Golden Dreams.

I like Soarin' better, but. ;)

In any event, I'm here to pipe up as one of the ones who has instructed guests to get on the five freeway to get to Magic Mountain.

Of course, I was also working Stromboli's when Fantasmic! first opened (actually, I'll save my Fantasmic! opening day story for some other time), and we had a lot of people asking where they could see Fantasia. It's probably best that it wasn't out on VHS at the time, or our smart-assed answers would have been a lot worse than they were.

And then there was the time I had the guy insisting that he could see the "Batman" show at the park...and back to Magic Mountain we go.

You don't think I'm surprised that the question hasn't gone away, do you?

I mean, it's not like they're getting any smarter... :P

Recently on the Movie Ride I was in the Fantaisa scene and I had somebody "correct" me when I called the movie Fantaisa. They looked at me and said, "No, that's Fantasmic." I just ignored them and we had a good laugh at that in the breakroom.

I like Golden Dreams.

I like Soarin' better
I like Soarin' better too!! Whenever a guest comes right before the last show, and they ask me if its worth watching, I ask if they have done everything. If they tell me that they haven't gone on Soarin', then I send them over there. I can't believe people actually go in the park and leave without going on one of, if not the best attractions in the park!

seriously... people walk right up to our gate and ask where the haunted house is... sheesh... then again, most people walk up to our gate to ask how to get to indy, or splash, or pooh, or pirates, or jungle, or thunder......
sheesh... so sad.
