George Carlin will not be down for breakfast

Delurking to say how much I loved his work and that I will miss his POV very much.

My favorite joke of his was the one where he talked about all of the questions he got after he pierced his ears. People asked him what it meant and he insisted that it didn't mean anything. He just wanted to have pierced ears and, furthermore, that not everything had to mean something. So, after working himself into a righteous fury by giving various answers to SG-type questions about the earrings, he replied to an imaginary query, "What does it mean?! It means I killed a man in prison for asking f***ing questions!"

I have longed to to use that line to answer the variety of stupid questions I've encountered.
