I find it funny that in the HISTA breakroom that you can find all the 3D glasses from every 3D movie that you can think of: the red ones from Sea World, the green and black ones from Universal, and the burgandy ones from the M&Ms. I guess certain CMs collect them and bring it bacl to HISTA.

That's one reason why I am so happy I don't work one of the 3-D shows. You never know what will end up in the bin!

You use 3D glasses that are like sunglasses, plastic frames and everything, not the pasteboard ones, I assume. The pasteboard ones would be disposable and you wouldn't have to worry about getting them back and cleaning them. But I assume you're not using those because they would 1.) increase the amount of trash you have to throw away, and 2.) cost more in the long run because you'd have to keep buying more.

Yeah, the 3D glasses are all made of plastic, usually without arm joints. The different shows use different style glasses. Mickey's Philarmagic uses yellow ones, "It's a Bug's Life" uses green(?) ones with little feelers on them. I think Muppets 3D uses pink ones.

You're supposed to drop them into bins set up along the exit from the theatre but some people don't. On my last trip I saw a couple of girls walking through Fantasyland carrying 3D glasses from Mickey's Philarmagic.

I have around here somewhere a plastic pair of 3D glasses that do fold up I got from when I went to The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D a while back. It felt weird leaving the theatre and not having a bin to throw them in.

Actually, Bugs uses the black Bug Eyes and Muppets use the lavendar ones.

Most of the time, I get teenagers asking, "Can we keep them??" and I respond, "Nope!"

Or should I wipe them down with my Wet Ones before placing them anywhere near my face?
I still do this!

I have seen too many a kid sneeze into the 'clean' glasses rack to believe they're clean- though I applaud Disney's procedure for doing it and people wonder why park admission costs so much? Doing things like that costs money!

My bigger pet peeve than the sneezing into the glasses racks though is the silverware at counter locations.

I saw it every morning at Captain Cook's. Kids with grimey, snotty hands reaching into the spoon or fork bin, handling 20 and taking 1 out.

Every morning I asked for silverware from UNDER the countertop. Which reminds me. This trip, I'm packing a box of disposable silverware. Seriously. We all got sick halfway through our last trip everyone at the Poly sounded like they were dying of the same bug.

I noticed the spoons we got with our ice cream in the MK were wrapped- I think all the silverware should be.

I would think that WDW would sell 3D glasses that you could keep, maybe even have a "flip up" or interchangable (rotating?) 3D lens that would turn them into sunglasses?

That way you could get sun protection, a souvineer, and 3D glasses when needed!!

Kids would love them because you could put them in different colors and have Mickey on them, and they could sell 3D comics and stuff to use when at home or in the hotel!!

Sorta like the old viewmasters!

You know, that's a brilliant idea.

I'd pay for my own pair. Without a moment's hesitation.
