This sounds like a collosally bad idea. I do not watch American Idol because I do not think that networks should be making money off of publicly humiliating people.

First season, sure. After that, I don't have a lot of sympathy. The people who are on should know what to expect and are submitting to it willingly.

Actually I only remember a few of them, Such as Gene gene the dancing machine!!! I did see some of the re-runs!!

About the only thing I remember about the show was the insane laugh of the "Unknown Comic". I never got into the show but I was aware of it and saw a few bits (generally when I paused while tuning past).

Personally I think it's pathetic that people can't even stand in a line without something to amuse them. How did the hell did the human race make it this far? And why do we worry about global warming when the crisis of diminishing attention spans will kill off the human race much more quickly and effectively?
