TEchie I think you should make that your tagline. Bacon, God's meat candy!
That is funny, I like that. It would make a good bumper sticker too.
MMMMMMMMMMM....I hate mac and cheese and that makes it sound good to me.
*hands GP a napkin for his drool.
I love love love love bacon. I think we should petition the meat company's to make a 5 lb package. Between Donnie, Meghyn and I we fight over the 1pounders. I have to actually count the pieces so we get even amounts..

People who say they are vegetarian but can eat something that is not typical veg food may be just saying that to appear PC. If everyone else is doing it, they think they should too. That or they really don't know what a vegetarian is. There are different types of vegetarianism, ranging from no red meat but eating fish, poultry, eggs and dairy all the way to the extreme of veganism which means you don't eat or use anything of animal origin, so no honey as well as no eggs, fish, dairy, and red meat, but also no wearing leather or animal fiber such as silk or wool, etc.. They insist that veganism is the way to health, but I have to ask--if veganism is so healthy, how did a vegan like Linda McCartney get breast cancer and die of it? Food for thought....

So hubby has started making this great bacon recipe he got off an Emeril episode. You pat your bacon with brown sugar and cracked black pepper, shake off the extra, and put it on a cookie cooling rack that is in a jelly roll pan. Then you bake your slices until they are golden. The bacon is cooked, but not crispy. And it's flat - not curly like it gets in the pan. It's really wonderful.

Oh that sounds really interesting. I would make it but I have the problem on 1. not having a cookie cooling rack and
2. not having any bacon today.
SIGH..must wait till Friday shopping...I really want some bacon
BACON BACON BACON ....ok now I sound like I am channeling the dog treat commercial

I am going to use that philosophy next time I make some. I usually have to smack Donnie's hand more then once while I am, cause he waits till my back is turned and grabs some off the already done plate.

Mmmmm Bacon. My fav is the Oscar Meyer microwave bacon. My biggest complaint is that it takes longer to toast the bread that the bacon will go on than it takes to nuke the bacon. I either have to precook the toast or start the cook time on both the toast and the bacon at the same time and end up with slightly cooled bacon (I like it direct from the microwave). :D:
BTW, My favorite way to eat bacon is one that most people find strange. I like bacon in a peanut butter sandwich. Most people think it sounds weird, but the taste of bacon is suprizingly good with peanut butter. :D:
