Hi Planner.

Are you in Fairfax or Loudon? My late wife and I lived in Annandale for about 15 years. We were very active in support of the Disney's America project, and know a lot of the truth behind why it died.

Ohhh *bliss* we had Tonga toast for the first time when we went to the World in Oct. I felt the old ticker take a few years off with all the bad crap in there but that was a good reason to go early

DAMN that was good.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, Ive been reading the various threads for a while now before jumping in to be sure Id be zany enough to fit in.

I live in McLean not too far from 66 and the toll road spur, nice area and seemingly quiet for the inner burbs. Moved to this area 6 years ago next month from NC, I have a foggy memory of there being much fuss in the news about Disney wanting to build out in PW county not a whole lot more.

There are a couple of great pho places over in Annandale along with one of my fav rib places, traffic has just gotten so bad its an ordeal to get anywhere on a whim for dinner.

As far as what we are drinking this fine frozen morning? How about anything fruity with one of those cheesy umbrella things so I can pretend its 82 out not witch tit 12. :hottub:

I'm sure that would work! I printed out the recipe, and DW was saying we needed to get some bread from Trader Joes to make it!! Mmmmmm!!

I googled that and was suprised to fine that they were even thinking of taking over Knotts, and revamping that whole area!! Interesting reading, I wonder if that is on a "back burner" somewhere in the secret files of Disney?

IT a very cold 68 here, so hot coffee!! (Kona!!)
