Due to the downtime I couldn't mention this until now. I went to Nightmare Before Christmas 3D at a local cinema Thursday night. I was one of only five people in the entire theater, two of which didn't come in until about 10 minutes (I guess) into the actual movie, during the scene where Jack is singing about his woes in the graveyard.
I enjoyed the movie. I haven't seen it in any form in years and to see it in 3D was cool. It's a more subtle 3D and a lot less in your face unlike the 3D shows at WDW, the only place until now I've seen any 3D shows.
It has been playing at two cinemas in town, both owned by the same company, Rave Motion Pictures. That gave me a decent choice in times to go even with it playing in only one theater at each location since I live about the same distance from both. Was hoping to make the 5:55 showing at the original Rave but wasn't able to so I wound up going to the 7:25 showing at the other cinema. I wanted to ask about how popular Nightmare had been but when the movie let out the ticket taker was gone as there wre no more movies starting that night. It defiantely wasn't popular that evening, which is why I was wondering. I've never seen such an empty theater before.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
