I looked at the way I look at other changes, Walt always wanted the parks to change or evolve. The wand was a change, maybe not the best change, but a change.

However,I would not be shedding tears if that Big F**king hat at Studios was to disappear.
When the wand went up I looked at it as an interresting, short term, addition. Kind of like the "pepto pink Castle". I may have liked or disliked it, but as a short term thing, I had no strong objections. But the wand, IMHO, outstayed its welcome.

As to what I call the BAH (Big A$$ Hat), It is a very nice item and fits the Studios theme very well. But it is in the wrong place IMHO. I have absolutely no problem with it remaining as an Icon in the studios, just not where they put it. Personally I think it would be a better fit just around the corner in the Animation Courtyard. I would even say it should be elevated enough that when the Studios Archway is being used as a backdrop for filming and photography, the hat should be a fully visible backdrop to the arch. And as not only an icon for the studios, it would be a marvelous signboard for the animation side of the industry.

I would say that the hat (a Disney creation) is a better weenie for Studios than Mann's. They just need to do something different with it, but I understand the placement.

I've always had mixed feelings on the hat, but this sums it up well. I don't have a problem with the hat itself, just its placement. If it were placed where it didn't obscure the wonderful theater facade or any other placemaking feature, I'd love it unconditionally.

As always, Zazu, you say it all so well. Thanks!

But... am I being hypersensitive to call you on capitalizing the phrase "Disney Parks" as per the Rasulo marketing campaign? A lowercase "p" would work fine and not bring to mind that generic trademark monstrosity. :o:

Didja hear about the Aggie who moved from Texas to Oklahoma... and raised the average IQ in both states? :D: :p:

So, just to check, you're placing conditions on how you could love it unconditionally?

Hey look, a shaved kitty! I dunno, keep looking, it was there a second ago!

There, Wombat, that'll keep 'em busy while you work out the technicalities. I'll keep you covered. Us marsupials gotta keep together*.

Same ultimate effect on the brain, but cheaper than law school.

Then there were my classmates who combined all three!
