Well, the particular attractions I'm wondering about are Carrosel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, and American Adventure. I would also like to have the film shown after Malestrom but if I do that with the video camera it will flicker on tape.

I have 800 or 1600, but it's a Canon, which usually do better in low light.

Yeah, this is always a problem. When we had the Snow White show here at Disneyland the spiel said no flash photography and we often reminded people before show time, sure enough as soon as the show started you'd see flashes going off everywhere and there's really nothing you can do about it. What would really crack me up is the people who were taking flash pictures from the back of the theater cause I've always been told that the flash goes what 3 or 4 feet from the camera. Maybe it's longer, but certainly not the 20-30 feet from the back of the theater to the stage.

Yep, especially on point and shoot camera's! I think the problem is people fail to RTFM* and don't know how to turn off the flash.

Six to eight feet if you are lucky. If you aren't lucky, you'll get a photo that is overexposed in the center, and underexposed on the sides.

I've taken pictures without a flash that were better than people taking pictures with a flash. :p:

Went on Star Tours once and sat in the back row next to a kid of maybe 12 or 13. They made the "no flash photography" announcement. "Oh, good," says the kid, "there's not a flash on my camera!" He then proceeded to take a full disposable camera full of time release photos of the ride! I'm sure he had a wonderful collection of blank pictures or really good shots of the back of the head of the guy in front of him! It was too funny to be mad at him! (The clicking of his camera WAS distracting and annoying though, which is why they say no photography rather than no flash photography on a lot of rides now in the day and age of digital night vision cameras!)

Seems like I couldn't ride without someone using flash on the ride, Pirates being the worst offenders. I told the lady behind me to stop and she actually did. I also told my wife that I was about to bring my speedlight with me and point it at the SG and use the test button, a few blinding flashes and they might get the point, but probably not.
