That's what they said about Disneyland's Space Mountain and Magic Kingdom's Submarines, too.
Besides, I think the Matterhorn and the Sub Lagoon are linked. The main reason for re-opening the subs in the first place is because they can't take out the lagoon. The Matterhorn would sink if they did!
A particularly silly urban legend. In case you didn't notice, they have been draining the sub lagoon every year or two for maintenance, including a long "dry spell" to install Nemo.
I love Star Tours, but the ride needs a major re-hab.
If you wonder why Lucas isn't jumping on this, perhaps you didn't hear the story about the duct tape....
I don't think Star Tours will ever be in danger of completly going away because the merchandise from the ride is popular.
That sure helped save the Sleeping Beauty attraction at DL, didn't it?
I am tired of seeing the same stuff in every store. ... Now the stores have the same stuff....
Amen, brother, amen.

The lagoon has been leaking for years and this affects the water table which is why there had to be a major rehabilitaion of the Matterhorn. The two rides are seperate entities. Zazu thank you for debunking a myth.

I saw a while back on a board related site the pictures of the rot and stuff at the Tiki Room. I pointed out to a manager that the staircase to Tomorrowland Skyway had major rusting and there was even a whole in the support post.

Lots of stuff there about Goofy's dirty Kitchen and that New Orleans Square is rat infested.

Disneyland the home of rats, cats and dingbats.

Actually more attention MUST be given to Tomorrowland, that place plain sucks! They have taken out everything good and it just is a shell of what it used to be. There are so many cool things they could do with the future looking so bright...ahem, cough, cough...
I would like to see the People Mover back, those tracks are just sitting there empty and I loved the People Mover. Nice relaxing ride to kick back on for a respite from the crowds down below. Also, with all the new innovations in the health world, lets bring back a cool updated version of Trip through Inner Space or bring Body Wars to Tomorrowland and get rid of the sponsor driven Innoventions, a waste of space just cause Disney does not have to shell out big bucks for it. Disney has the big bucks to do what they want and what the public wants. They just do not want to spend it there, instead they keep giving themselves raises, (NOT the CMs who deserve it!). They really need to do something about DCA, AKA Pixar Park. That place is just annoying. :banghead: There are only a few good attractions over there like Soarin' which is pure Disney delight and Grizzly River Run, another great attractoin that would fit the adventureland/Frontierland motif well. Walt swore he would NEVER have a Ferris wheel in Disneyland and after Eisner tried it in the Hub with that silly circus crap they pulled, they put one in DCA, albeit a "thrill Ferris wheel". It is still a Ferris wheel in a cheesy, carny atmosphere over there in Paradise Pier. And do not get me started on the sleazy Hollywood Backlot area which is just a lilliputian version of MGM Studios Park at WDW! DCA's version blows! We NEVER go over to Paradise Pier or Hollywood Backlot, they both are so UN-Disney like that we avoid those areas. That park is pathetic and could have been so much more. I think that a parking lot would not be a bad idea at this point, lets see a parking lot show with Disney Parking attendants trying to outrace eachother for the same spot, heh heh heh...
The Imagineers need to do what they are paid to do...USE THEIR IMAGINATIONS!!!!! Not just try to outdo another theme park with a higher drop ride or a coaster with an extra loop. They need to focus on what made Disney attractions so great in the first place and that was storylines! The Disney library is full of great stories just begging to be made into cool dark rides or attractions. I would love to see a Beauty and the Beast dark ride in Fantasyland or a cool Little Mermaid attraction. :p: I know WDW has the shows, but D-Land does not. Bring back Circle-Vision. Those 360 degree movies were phenomenal! I used to love to go to Disneyland as a kid, there was so much there and it seems over the years they have taken more and more away in favor of more coaster type attractions (BTMRR, I LOVED the Mine train) and thrill rides. I also liked Big Thunder Ranch Barbeque, that was great food! Now it is gone and there is no where to get good barbeque in D-Land! Not everyone likes all thrill rides all the time. Get back to Disney's roots and create what Disneyland was always about, the Magic of the story...
Oh well, I can dream of a Boomerland, can't I? :old: :hysteria: Where all the really cool attractions are with magical, mystical storylines and everyone is happy and smiling and there are no SGs. Every ride is interesting and cool and you actually get to meet and greet the characters out and about. And the Princes are actually there with the Princesses. (what is that about? They got rid of them at D-Land,they are NOT even on the floats in the Parade of Dreams anymore, except Beast!) The food is tasty and you don't have a merchandise shop carrying the same thing on every corner! DREAM ON!!!!!!
:soap: Sorry, I will get down now :o: (walks away, shaking head and muttering something about the good old days...) ;)
