Aw, thanks, Bru. I guess I haven't given an update in a while. I pop over to my surgery thread and do just that.

I'm worried about you passing out- you've been through so much, there could be a number of reasons why that is happening-did you see the doctor about that? If not, PLEASE DO. NOW....

NO MORE PASSING OUT.
Okay, Bru, you have your orders!!! :D:

[font="Palatino Linotype"]dearest bru, you've done all you can...have gone way beyond what you've needed to do for your dad considering you have several siblings (whether they were in on helping or not is on them)...you've now been informed you're no longer needed in the capacity that you were filling, so it's time to take care of YOU and YOURS...don't let your mother or other siblings start in on you at any time...don't let them try to make you feel guilty for ANYTHING...you've been the daughter you needed to be and the daughter your father needed...but there comes a time when you've got to cut your losses...it may just be that time...

so now it's time for you to take care of you...and that includes letting your husband and daughter (however young kids do like the thought that they're helping mom) take care of you too...

you are in my thoughts as i'm sure you're in many sgt'ers

Dear Bru - I had to leave halfway through your recent post and go blow my nose a couple times. I can't believe what you've been through and how much of yourself you've devoted to your family. Please, PLEASE take care of yourself so you can care for your husband and your daughter - they are most important now. You have indeed done all you can do for your father at this point. The outcome may be grim but you know you've done everything you could do. We will continue to send prayers and pixie dust your way.

Went to a Halloween party last night at my Disney buddy Karen's house. Her son Erik was in the bad accident last October and suffered brain damage. He's doing much better - still in a wheelchair but able to get around a little bit with a walker. Still doing speech therapy but understands and follows directions and is very alert. His daughter Aryanne (can't remember if that's spelled right) is growing so fast. I talked to her about the little cape you made her and she is still using it. Your generous heart has touched so many people, and you know all the hearts at SGT are on your side. Please keep in touch and come visit us here on the website when you need to vent frustrations or need some moral support. :grouphug:

Hey Bru!
I am doing well. No more pain in my leg at all! The sciatic nerve was freed by the surgery and no bones are crushing it now. I still have back pain and always will. They said I would not get 100% of my back and I didn't. It is about 75% well and I can deal with that. I still hurt a LOT when I try to do things physically, but I will strengthen everything up and be just fine.

I am thinking of you always and praying for you.

You know you did everything you could possibly do and you are a wonderful person who gives love unconditionally. You are because you kept going back when they got in your face and let you down and yet you always love your father no matter what. That is a real gift to love so unconditionally and you are an angel. It is time now to let the other family members do what they need to do for your dad as well. They should be part of this too in their own way. You have given more than anyone. Let them do it now.

Believe me, you have gone beyond what most people could or would be able to do. And with all the medical issues of your own, you still have strength to love your father so much to make sure HE is doing well. Amazing.

Your husband and daughter are your life. Love them. And love yourself as much as you give unconditionally to others. You deserve some peace and quiet and your family will give you that. Your husband and daughter give you strength and love to keep you going and going and going...
I love you Bru and I pray that all will be well for you and that you continue to have the strength that God gave you to get you through every moment of your life!
Come here often, for we give hugs and surround with our love! :grouphug:
Blessings to you,
Susi

Did ya get your monster Wall-e? :wall-e: Mine came a few weeks ago. It is so BIG! We have not programmed it yet! It is gonna take some doing.

Man, you guys always make me cry *sniffling* (((((Wazzup)))))) (((((Susi))))) (((((Disneymom)))) (((Elena)))) (((Ktulu))) (((((Wombat))))) and anybody else I'm forgetting huge HUGS! Forgive me if I missed your name I've read and carried every post in my heart the past two days as my mom gets crazier and there's nothing I can do about it.

I called to tell them that my husband is still sick (I seem to now be getting the last thing he had- I've had three different and distinct bugs since September! AHHHH) and my mother was all over the map. I kept thinking of Hobie saying "Don't engage!" and I got off the phone as fast as I could. I had a long talk with a friend on the phone yesterday and she told me all the things you're all telling me- not having known what you said and after knowing me almost five years- and so I know that all of you can't possibly be wrong.

I am no angel, I just did what I felt I could live with no matter the outcome. What is so hard is watching him struggle with his new body- I told him 'you're livin in my world now your brain is writing checks your body can't cash." he's been basically healthy as a horse for 67 years (the aneurysm when he was 60 was barely a speedbump compared to this) and I know he hates every minute of it. But there is no magic wand to fix it :(

Wazz I was just talking about Eric yesterday! The friend I was on the phone with IS an angel on this earth- she has been foster mom to literally dozens of special needs children over the past twenty years- and I was telling her about Erik and that I wondered how they were all doing. I can't believe Airy is still wearing the cape I'd have thought she'd outgrow it by now (I tried to make it big on purpose!) if she does though and needs a replacement I'll do my best. I haven't finished a single crochet project since that last blanket because it's so hard to see. But I am working on a shawl for myself (I never make myself anything!) and the beautiful box your husband made me for my hooks is constantly in view. Truly a gift I treasure every day :)

YES Susi I got my wall e!! He's SO BIG! and NOISY! LOL that's the main problem, his servos are so loud I'm afraid of disturbing the neighbors. The child in the house is going to have to program it. My favorite thing about him is his expressive eyes. He's just precious- Christmas came early this year for me.

Hey my husband got me the coolest gift today, a keyboard with letters that light up! it's SO COOL it looks like the dashboard on a 747 LOL and is making it a lot easier for me to see what I'm doing! Should make posting a lot easier :)

Love you all lots- there are just no words to thank you for all your support. I hope that you won't ever need it- but if you do need support and post about it I will do my best to be as encouraging to you all as you've been to me.

xoxo
Bru

Not yet Wombat but will try to get on that soon. Thunderstorms in the area today (odd for this time of year!) might have to shut the computer down but I'll see what I can do!

The poor cat is terrified of him! That's how big he is.
