Uh, wasn't this thread originally about getting sick on vacation? Saw on the news on my homepage that a couple of little kids were caught spreading measles in San Diego. Don't they vaccinate for that anymore? I had it when I was little--so little I don't remember having it or mumps. Sure remember the chicken pox, though....I am so hoping I don't get shingles.

Yeah!! They had a follow-up story on the local news tonight, now they are tracing all the locations the kid went when he may have been contagious!!

Grocery store, different locations around the city.. This reminds me of several different movies, where the carrier is one person, and then.....

My Mom has shingles right now. Not fun :/

There are a large number of people that refuse to get their kids vaccinated for fear that the shots cause autism .

Yeah, even though the original "study" that propagated that rumor has been quite thoroughly debunked, the meme that vaccinations are dangerous persists. Not getting vaccinated is a public health hazard.
