Re: How to get through the Grief....
This is my favorite picture of all, of Orion. It captures him at the moment he is most himself. You could see his soul and spirit in the beautiful golden eyes and he was the gentlest mighty lion there ever was!

Thank you for allowing me to pour my heart out here. I miss him so much and these anniversaries sneak up on me. I could not believe my eyes when I looked at my watch and saw the date after I had been crying...but...then, it all made sense.
I love you Orion, my little furball. I will hold you again some day and smiles will be all around a gain! We shall paly in the meadows across the Rainbow Bridge and forever will be ours...
Sues and her little angelcat, Orion =^.^=

"The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...."

If you see one of Orion's pictures and have JUST the perfect caption for it, post it. I don't mind and laughing is a good way to remember a kitty who made us laugh so often. I know that there are some beauts of captions floating in the heads of some of our more creative SGTers. I think Orion would meow with glee as well. :)

Oh Susi, blessings to you on the anniversary of your loss of Orion. He was a beautiful cat and I wish I'd had the chance to meet him in person and run my fingers through all that soft, shiny fur. I will do as you suggest and give my furballs lots of hugs and special attention today.
I hope you find peace and contentment soon, knowing you'll be reunited with Orion some day.
Lots of hugs to you and Ralph.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
