Stupid Guest Tricks

I am so glad we will be getting AP's (I promise not to be a Passholder) and that is Tax Time---whoo hoo! We will have to start planning a trip now. You Bubble Ladies sound so cool and I will even bring my own bubbles

AP's are great. I had (still do) one before I was a CM. Just go and enjoy. Don't believe that you are entitled to anything (other than unlimited visits)and you will be a great guest.

I like the normal "Regular Guests" a lot. You can get into some great coversations with them and that can make your day. It's the "Know It All" passholes that I can't stand. Usually, they don't know it all and give poor advise. I had one yesterday telling a confused guest that the best way to get to MK from DTD was to take the bus to the Contemporary and then take the monorail to MK. She got highly offended when I suggested to the guest that it may be better to take the bus to the Contemporary and then just walk to MK using the Contemporary sidewalk. (a 5 to 8 minute walk and no transfers, the resort monorail will take about 25 minutes)

You sound like the type who will go and have fun, apprieciate the little things that make a Disney Park a great place to go.

PS: the correct term is passhole, just so you are using the term properly

I was wondering about the distance from the CONTEMP to the MK (we have ressies for Chef Mickey's one day) and whether it would be faster to take the monorail or walk.

Yes, you can bring in your own Pepsi. Nobody will stop you. My uncle carried a small, softsided cooler everyday at the World with water and Gatoraide in it and nobody said anything about it.

There are lockers just inside all the parks. Remember that WDW is in Florida, where the weather can change in a few minutes. On my last trip a major storm blew in quite fast and unexpectedly just as we were going into Philarmagic and it looked like it would stick around a while. It was really coming down when we came out but after riding Peter Pan and it's a small world it had stopped raining and was the weather was clearing up. It is a good idea to carry a small poncho with you at all times while visiting the World. You might never need it but it is a good and cheap thing to have.

If not a poncho then a light weight waterproof jacket. I got my rump soaked because people will park under any shelter they can find. There are excellent maps and guides in the brand X boards and I like Passporter. If you need I can send you some links. It is best to know ahead of time where stuff is.

Rain? You mean you don't have a bubble over your park like ours? ]MAJOR[/I] downpour that knocked out ALL the back-up generators throughout the entire playgroud. The only attractions that were operating were the ones that were "gas" powered & out in the open. More people were in line to leave the park than to get in! (I have to admit, I felt more than awful for those who had planned & planned this dream vacation...) The rain eventually subsided & the attractions all opened, but there wasn't a dry place to sit the entire day! Rain & extreme cold are about the only elements that keep us away...& holidays! Oh yes, we know how to play DL!!! :D: Once the weather dips below 70, out come my long underwear... [/font]

Elena is disabled...she had surgery on her ankle a year ago (or is it two?) & it's never been the same. She does carry a cane, but tries like hell to avoid using it!

It's about a quarter of a mile, really not that far. If you go by monorail to the Contemporary from the MK, it's the first stop so it's not bad however and about the same time as walking. If you are going from the Contemporary to MK, it's 4 stops and about 25 minutes. Much faster to walk in that direction.
