I've actually been inside the attraction during an evac and have had the guests ask me to turn the sound back on.Shorty82 wrote:Again, I don't know for sure about DLR but at WDW's IASW it is policy to mute the audio after about 10 minutes of a ride stoppage.
Don't want the guests being driven insane! :)

Even in IASW, I would think everything moving with no audio would be creepier.
Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

Having the sound turned off and the dolls still moving is more TORTUROUS(sp?) then being stuck with the music playing over, and over, and over, and over..............

It is. Very weird to see the dolls moving with no music.CptnSkippy wrote:Even in IASW, I would think everything moving with no audio would be creepier.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Re: Disney Lawsuits
they can do special announments like in the other rides.
like the HM, please stay were you are until help gets to you, the dolls get nervous if you wander around, and have been known to take matters into thier own little hands....

OMG really? This sentence just makes me laugh:
Then you'd probably piss and moan when your kid got sick at Walt Disney World and the lawsuit would be that
So apparently you want the park serving you food that's below a safe temperature and possibly have bacteria growing on it rather than serving food that's above the State Department of Public Health's minimum temperature? There was no effort on behalf of Disney “to regulate and monitor the temperature of the nacho cheese which was being served to young children,” the complaint alleges.

Instead of blaming the park, how bout you blame your crappy parenting skills? Ugh.There was no effort on behalf of Disney "to regulate and monitor the temperature of the nacho cheese being above the Dept. of Health's minimum temperature which was being served to guests."
RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

Re: Disney Lawsuits
In the first case, if stress is potentially fatal to this gentlemen then he should have had anti-anxiety medication on his person to help deal with any situation that should arise. A quick evacuation for someone in a wheel chair just isn't always a possibility. He could have got stuck on the monorail. He could have been on one of the Magic Kingdom ferries when an engine broke down. Heck, he could have been in a plane sitting on a runway for a couple of hours. If sitting quietly in his seat is so stressful as to be life threatening, he really needs to take more responsibility for his medical condition.
Probably what will happen after this is anyone requesting a medical pass will have to sign a waiver indicating they understand that it may take longer than the normal amount of time to evacuate them in the event of a breakdown.
As for the kid with the nacho cheese, what if it had been soup? or coffee? Hot foods are hot and parents need to take that into account.

Oh, goodness. A quick evac doesn't happen from the Monorail for anyone in some locations where the Monorail goes... Specifically right before they enter and exit the Contemporary. Especially right over the water bridge.
