absent the fact that the CM's are probably not allowed to eat and drink on stage (exception of the water?)
I would not eat something a total stranger gave me. I can think of all kinds of ways that would turn out bad for the CM.

Yep, CMs cannot eat or drink on stage. The only exception is they can drink water from a clear bottle with no label or a clear bottle in an approved holder (the black things that clip to the belt a lot of CMs carry, the company provides them to us).

Exactly why I'd throw it out and why I believe it is against company policy to accept food and the like from guests.

Cash is always accepted :D:
A goody bag, ahh no. Nice thought but as others have said, too many nut cases out there.
Now, If Darph was to bring me a FULL six pack, I would reconsider.

At TL now if someone tries to bring in alcoholic beverages and will not take it back to their car we have to open the containers and dump the contents before tossing the containers in the trash can. It seems that in the past some CPs did some removals from the trash can near the gate before custodial emptied it.

For the record, these idiots are freaking insane! Like we want you stinking goody bag? Is it worth my job to accept your 'gift' and let you take a pic of me so you can commend me? Yeah right.
Oh, and I am sure Security at the Bag Check area really enjoys sifting even more crap cause you wanna be special and think it is trick or treat time.
How about show some damned respect?
Does this idiot accept goody bags at his/her place of business and have her picture taken so she can be commended for her great job?
Gawd, I need to find that post that CM put on the net again. You know the one, "I am a Cast Member". Too bad he is no longer with the company.

While I certainly understand why one doesn't want to take goodie bags, I'm a little confused about the anger over a client wanting to compliment you to your bosses... mind you the picture thing is a little weird, but nearly everyone I know who has ever worked in the service industry usually enjoys it when a customer goes out of their way to complement them to their boss, considering most folk only ever bother to say nasty things about folk to their bosses...
Does this mean you don't want any Guest Service Fanatic Cards written up on you either?
