ktulu wrote:$260k for a 4-br? What kind of sq footage on that? Lot sizes? HOA?
Not that I'm thinking of moving there or anything...
$260k, 4br, 3bath, 2story, attached garage, 50' wide lot on pond, HOA dues $300/yr, next door to a Hornbill sanctuary.
Please buy it! It's way overpriced, but the neighbor who lives there is a real troll.

Let me just pry my wallet out of my back pocket and take care of that.

I have heard from Monorail_Red that the housing isn't even necesarily close. A group of 6 already has reserved a vacation house for the whole fall, coming out to $425 a month per person, absolutely everything included. I queried and there are roughly 6 of us who are open to an alternative to the Disney housing. So, any ideas on where we could find something?
Disney housing is like 15-20min away. Just about everything here is at least a 15min commute.

Yeah seriously....who wouldn't want just a 15 minute commute?
Plus, with the perimeter fireworks at MK 7 days a week for 10 weeks..gonna be some pissed off locals (who routinely cut thru our property) and MK area cast that 'have to go the long way'.
On the plus side, if you can't stand your roommates ..you just move to a new placement. No extra money etc. Transportation included...and a sense of community. The dorms do have some advantages.
On the other hand, no way I would stand for having a roommate in my room. I like my private time too much.
Also, what happens when your roomie gets sent home early??? Yeah, that is happening a lot .. that time of the year I guess.

Homes come furnished, most with game rooms or home theaters, all with pools. Decent folks to deal with. I have no clue about pricing or their willingness to rent long-term to interns.
Know that any lease of less than 6 months is subject to the tourism tax in Florida, so look at booking for half a year even if you won't be staying that long, it may be an advantage.
Failing that, there are a number of vacant houses in my neighborhood I could help you break into....
AIR we rented one for a week about 8yrs. ago when we went with the MIL and Great Aunt. Everything was more than acceptable in regard to the home. The rest of the trip is another matter. :(

Good news: Yes, lots of them!
Bad news: They're triploid grass carp, and it's illegal to even attempt catch-and-release. No fishing or boating allowed.
More bad news: The pond also contains gators, and they are still a protected species here.
Great news: If a gator attacks you, it's legal to kill and barbecue it!

That can be arranged. You didn't ask how big the fish were.
Note to self, keep Darph and the cranes away from my koi pond.

I'm not arriving till August 13th so that's not an issue. How are the apartments back on Reams right behind Kingdom?
