Just be glad you don't have THIS woman visiting....

If that's just for a speeding ticket, imagine what would happen if she was told that Fastpasses for Soarin' were all gone, or that she couldn't get a table at Le Cellier...

Wow! The cop should have taken her in for 72 hour observation.

Earlier today I was at 99 Cent Only to use one of my gift cards to pick up a few things, and I could feel the stress. It seemed as if every aisle I wanted to go down had 20 people in it, just standing there. Kids running around, etc.. I passed one woman, who very tensely said "Excuse me." I calmly replied "Excuse me." No sense trying to escalate the situation. But it's like you walk into a store, and it's like a cloak of stress drops down on you. Weird.

Anyone else have that happen to them, you walk into a store, etc., and all of a sudden you tense up, even though you were feeling okay before you went in?

It might be the store design. Were the walls red?

...at first I thought she got the taser, just the way she went down on the ground!

Little things get under my skin but nothing I wast time getting tense about. But how about this...the reason why I hate shopping during the holidays:

So it never fails, I go to the store needing a thing or two...I know exactly what I need and where to find it. I go down an empty aisle...then like out of nowhere about 20 people show up and crowd right where I was going!

Then you have parents who let the kids push the carts (I have no problem with that, but just when it's very crowded in a store), and they frequently bump into you...then people that park themselves & their shopping carts in the middle of an isle...etc.

Finally, I must say that Black Friday's at a Walmart...hearing on the news about people getting killed because they tripped & fell, then trampled on by the rest of the shoppers trying to get in...thats just ridiculous if you ask me!

Tinker Bell wrote:Where exactly do the guest at Christmas come from? My God it was one rude after the other, and they are soooo unhappy! Some of the highlights of this week:

*Today a mom SCREAM at her 4 year old because she was crying. The problem? The child was hungry! If I heard the child saying she was hungry I'm sure that the mother heard it too. Why don't you, I don't know, FEED THE CHILD!

*Another guest was close to suffering a nervous collapse when I told him he couldn't go thru an area and needed to go around. My God, you think I had told him the world was ending right as we speak.

*Then it was the family that got into an argument among themselves over what rides they were going and how selfish was this or that. Wow, those were some harsh words being thrown around. Bless the Gods they kept out of it!

It honestly makes me wonder why in the world do this people come to Disney and spend money just to fight. Are they this unhappy and rude and home? I just don't get it...

Thank God for my family and many of my fellow cast members. If it wasn't for them, I think I would hate the season.
I must have missed something in there because I do see a lot of unhappy but I see no rude in the examples sited.

The lady with the kid...well anyone that has ever had children knows that they can be terminally hungry within minutes of eating a gigantic meal. This is brought on by being exposed to Mickey Bars, Pretzels, Pop Corn, Churro's or any miscellaneous candy. There is a good chance the "mom" knows something that you don't. We all want parents to do what is necessary to bring their little prince or princess back to acceptable behavior, then when they do, they are terrible people for raising their voices a little to get the message across to those little angels that they mean what they say. If they are not beating the kid then yelling is the only disciplinary method that is still not punishable by death.

The middle example was not explicit enough too comment on.

The third is a lot like the first...unless one has spent the entire day with the group you do not know what series of events lead up to what was witnessed. It is something to not be judgmental about.

No, they're white, with their signature blue and purple stripes. But mainly white. No, I think people just get stressed even after most of the holidays are over. Who knows what was on that lady's mind? Maybe she just had a disagreement/fight with her SO. Or maybe she had a hard time getting there due to traffic. Who knows? Maybe she used that tone to signal that she didn't want to be bothered, like a get-out-of-my-way-and-stay-out-of-my-way signal. Or perhaps she didn't realize she sounded crabby. Any number of things.

Hi all. I don't stop in often, but always enjoy reading the posts here.

We (my wife and I) were in EPCOT last night for a couple of hours. We're local so that works for us.

What a chaotic place! Rudeness? Not so much, but lots of stress. I think sometimes families end up stressed solely by the proximity of spending the holiday with one another, particularly if that requires they all sleep in the same room. No getting away from one another for a break, you know?

Although we left just after the first Illuminations we didn't see a lot of drinking going on in EPCOT. We thought perhaps that was because it was still early.

We did see a large (fifty or more?) group of people congregated at the foot of the ramp to the monorails. There were some CMs (shirt and tie wearing CMs) there with rolling carts of sodas and sandwiches. One CM was saying that he knew they "had been there quite some time, but this was the best they could do. The sandwiches and drink were $10 each." He was booed! We were a little spooked by that. We don't often see such a large and unruly crowd.

We did get a real kick out of the extra exits from WS to FW. Those were the happiest CMs, the ones along that behind the scenes walkway. They were handing out little gifts of EPCOT magnets and 1999 NYE pins. Fun!

As always, huge thank yous to the CMs of WDW. We go often as AP holders and since we live in the area, know a few CMs and can never quite express how much it means to have YOU, the CM the reason for the magic.

So, happy new year to each of you and here's to a 2010 full of good guests and good experiences for you!

Was this in reference to the guests or the CMs? Was it a situation where they were feeding guests waiting in line for the Monorail? That's interesting if it was. I don't remember ever seeing anyone selling food outside the gates of Epcot. Though I wouldn't put it past them, particularly on New Year's Eve, when the crowds max out the parks.

I have a CM friend who works in one of the bars in a resort. Interestingly, she says New Year's Eve is always really quiet for her. Probably because everyone is in the parks instead...
