There's the story told of a young sailor at a dance for Navy personnel who danced very energetically with his girlfriend, which involved him swinging her into the air. Dancing nearby was an admiral and his rather large wife, who were doing a sedate foxtrot. Whenever the sailor swung his girlfriend, she kept bumping into the admiral. The admiral put up with this for a few minutes, but after the fifth bump, he turned around, tapped the young sailor on the shoulder, and said, "Mister, if you hit me with that woman again, I'm going to clobber you with this one!" :D:

1. You will get lost.
2. When you get onto main street, your first reaction will be: "Where is the Castle"?

Zazu wrote:"If you want to poke my ass again, you'll have to buy me dinner first!" seemed to get most to stop.
And just to clarify, what are your minimum specifications for dinner? The standards had better be pretty high, since I would imagine SWMBO needs to be impressed at that point, just like you do, right?

3. Refer back to 1 for at least the first two days.

Seriously I NEED to say this;
People can think what they want of Disneyland's castle, but remember; Disneyland opened in 1955. WDW opened in 1971.
Obviously, Disneyland came first.
Disneyland has a very rich history, and it was the only Disney park that Walt Disney ever stepped in and enjoyed. He LOVED this park.
He wanted Sleeping Beauty Castle to look the way it does. It is inspired by Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
European tyrants would create their castles to be very large to intimidate the peasants. That is why Sleeping Beauty Castle is the size it is. Walt wanted the castle to look friendly. Disneyland's castle is nothing to sneeze at.
This post is meant to be a general statement, and is not directed to anyone in particular. I am NOT trying to be nasty, I am just very tired of the whole "Disneyland's castle is dinky!" mindset. Walt wanted it to look the way it does.
Again. Disneyland has a lot of rich history and is a very special place.
WDW is cool too, but without Disneyland, chances are there would never have been a Disney park in Florida.

You will see the Castle a few steps into the Park. Look down Main Street and there it is, always looks beautiful, and I always smile.
I'm Home! :)
