I don't care for the new spiel and have a major problem with TTA being called "the highway in the sky"...but RUMOR has it that this is a temporary spiel until Space Mountain reopens and then there will be another recording made.

It looks like the cars are moving a bit slower than before. Yes or my imagination?

I don't see why they would re-do the spiels for the entire ride just for short term?

Looks about the same speed to me.

I want the classic TTA back :crabby:

I have fond(?) memories of riding TTC several times in a row during a summer monsoon because it was covered. That was my first time down there and I don't think I have been on it since and quite honestly, I don't remember it that well. Now, they just need to something with the track in DLR, I don't care what, remove it/use it for something else, but something needs to happen with it.

The control system for the linear induction motors is not one that permits easy adjustment of target speed. That said, if the trains are heavily loaded or have bad bearings, they can run as much as 2% below design value, as I understand the specs.

So yeah, imagination.

I don't like the new spiel, BUT, it does sound like the same voice that they have on the Land boat ride, and since they changed from the live spielers on that ride, I actually enjoy that one more.

(To any Disney execs that are reading this: This does NOT mean I think a recording should replace a live spieler anywhere else. Especially the Backlot Tour ... bring back the spiels, please! Or, better yet, just get out the bulldozer and put Cat Canyon out of its misery.)
