wierd. I live north of Poway and we didn't notice it.

Even the dogs didn't react.

My husband and I were watching TV and we felt it. It was the strongest we have felt in a while. The cats' ears perked up. A long rumble and the house shook. We didn't feel the aftershock.

Still heard the 9:30 fireworks from DLR, so at least they went on as usual.

That's okay, apparently everyone at Disney felt it (according to end of shift reports that I get) but I was in Brea (for those not in California, maybe 15 miles from Disneyland) and I didn't feel a thing.

Did anyone feel that??

Just curious to see is anyone felt the earthquake yesterday, Sunday, at Disneyland? It was a pretty big one and the news reported that some people even felt it down in San Diego. :tonbrick:

Yes, I did, I was in front of the castle waiting for the fireworks when the earthquake hit.

I was in front of the castle waiting for the fireworks when I felt it. Everybody felt it too. To my observations, some say it felt like a truck passing through.

Thank you! I am glad somebody else felt it. I felt it here, in this part of San Diego. I actually was at the computer reading SGT. Ham however, was watching TV and thought I was imagining things :( .

That's it, just blame me for everything, even stuff that's out of my control! :p:
Mom used to do that--I swear she blamed me for the economic downturn after 9/11 !

I used to have a lighter that read, "Don't blame me, it's San Andreas' fault." Although in this case, it would have to read, "Newport-Inglewood fault."

No, the reason I was at the USGS site is I'm a geek and I like to keep up on that sort of thing. I also do the Weather Channel site. And a few astronomy-related sites as well. You know what the definition of an intellectual is, don't you? It's a person who can bore you to death on any subject! That's me! :D:

Though I once read a sci-fi story where this scientist had just gotten an invitation to his high school 25th reunion and an invitation to speak at a geology conference in the same day's mail. He had discovered a way to predict earthquakes so well, he could not only tell when they would occur, but what place and time, as well as the magnitude. As he looks at the reunion invite, he remembers how cruel his schoolmates had been to him. Then, he looks at the date, time and place the reunion is going to be held, looks at his figures for the next predicted quake, and realizes it's going to hit as a major, devastating quake right where the reunion is going to be held. Easy choice--go to the conference, and bid a not-so-fond farewell to his classmates that caused him so much pain. No, he didn't warn them, either.
