We got a button from GKTW that had Benji's name on it and the date, but the date was really small and could be changed if you know how. I think they should either take the buttons back at the end of the trip, or put the date more prominatntly or mark them somehow. I still have Benji's button in our scrap book.
Thank you all for the warm welcome.

On a side note for the rest of the board.....

My wife works in the F-Land area and recently had an issue with the MAW buttons....

She had a family come up to her at one of the rides.. i think it was Peter Pan.... The Family had the GAC card, but looked odd in a way to her and she noticed that the parents had the normal white buttons and the kids had the dark blue buttons.... but no one had the MAW patient button ( Pink for girls and lite blue for boys ). She was going to question it, but allowed them to enter the ride and advised them that they needed to go to GR at City Hall to get a new GAC card as to the other one did not look like it was still valid.

I explained to her that their are places off property and on the net that sell GAC cards and MAW stuff for those who should rott in a warm place that smells of sulfer... and no.. I dont mean Grumpy Pirates house.... =-P

I truely want the best for those who diserve a well needed vacation with their loved ones who may or may not make it to see another vacation.

I like the date idea. That is a button that you should want to keep forever.

Even after two years of discussing it here, I can't believe that anyone would abuse MaW like that.

I remember the one time I took a MaW Safari. The only family aboard was Kelsey and her family, and we were running empty trucks all over the place. They had been on the Safari three times already that day (it was her favorite ride), so I wanted/needed to make it something special for her. Did I stop for animals? Did I go off script with information? Did I accidentally turn Warden Wilson off?

Do bears... well, you know.

It was one of my favorite trips out on the savannah.

A few weeks ago, there was also Jacob, who wanted to grow up to be a train engineer. Being on the Epcot line, for just a moment I was able to allow him to be one.

As Cast Members, we love being in places to spend personal time with your families. When that happens, you are as unforgettable to us as all of Disney World is to you.

just yesterday, a MAW family came to visit Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger at Pooh's Playground. After the 2 kids visited with the characters, the mother started crying, and thanking them for making their dreams come true. You can bet that I was standing there, crying as well. And you can bet that Pooh was giving her the biggest hug he could.

I've done a tour with a similar family....

All I have to say is, you made a moment in their life. That's a rare gift.
