Ok, I know this post is a bit old. But I started at the end of the posts to reply.

I also know I'm not a cast member, I'm a guest. I've read a few posts, and I must say, not all guests are that bad. I'm not :D: . But yall wouldn't know that, cuz I never give any of you guys problems.

Anyways...

One year, many years ago, maybe 6 years ago or longer, we were on Star Tours and there was a couple recording the ride. First the attendent came on the PA, "The use of video cameras is prohibitted." Or something. A few minutes later, the attendent commented again, "if you do not put away the video camera we will confinscate it." The couple continued. At that point, most of the guests were giving them bad looks. At the end of the ride, the couple was approached and their video camera was taken.

Frankly, if I ran the world, I'd impose a mandatory two-day training class for all people who want to purchase flash cameras.

Twice I've had to sit in front of some annoying b**** who refused to turn their camera flash off even after I reminded them of the park's rules against flash pictures. I wear glasses so if someone flashes behind me, I see nothing but a field of white.

Not only that, but they were using cheap flashes that don't work beyond fifteen feet and they were taking pictures fo a show more than sixty feet away. Ugh! I had all I could do to keep from grabbing their camera and throwing it as far as I could.

Yes flash pictures...-growl-

So Mansion holiday, large pretty backdrop behind load of the characters from Nightmare. 20 flashes later. I can't see. Yes, the main reason we don't ask you to take pictures is for my and your safety. Thank you I am done.

We have done this at ToT. If tower gives me a call telling me they were taking film or photos. I will have the guest erase them and tell them they have been warned.

Over at the Disneyland park I've had the same problem with crazy people with flash cameras and camera lights. One day while operating snow white I kindly spieled over the queue PA 'for the safety of yourself and those around you please keep all camera lighting off and refrain from flash photography' - the woman continued to videotape using a high power camera light. When it finally came for her to board the 'mine car' she had her evil camera pointed in my face and again I asked her to turn it off. She became immediately irate (midwestern disney obssesed people who think they know everything :eek :) 'I KNOW HOW THE RULES WORK HERE, I DON'T HAVE TO TURN MY CAMERA OFF UNTIL I'M IN THE RIDE.' I reminded her that I operate the ride and it is dangerous when I cannot see where guests are and see my console. She continued telling me that she knew how things work. I didn't even try to argue I just said, 'make sure you look out for the wit-'...she interrupted me with an attitude 'I KNOW THE RULES BETTER THAN YOU, YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB!'

What I wanted to do next isn't something I can type. I don't understand why people come to disneyland to fight, whine and complain. Sigh.

When doing Spectro PAC, that problem is always there. It's not so much the annoyance, but it's the safety that gets to me. When someone gets hurt because of something you did, then you obviously shouldn't have done it. When I'm in the parks as a guest, I've simply learned to put my hand over the front of the persons camera very quickly. Come to think of it, I should start carrying a mirror with me so that when they take the picture, they get blinded.

I used to use high speed film to take shots that I couldn't use a flash for.

Some people would ask me, "How/why are you taking pictures? They won't come out."

"1000 speed film, and they will come out"
