I think its the management types that have to worry for the most part, for parks its going to be business as usual and if they sell later then its the park management that again has to worry. entry level and supervisors are always going to be needed and they will most likely stick with whos already there doing a good job.
This could be a good thing in the end, to soon to tell. We are all very lucky comcast didnt succeed in buying Disney a few years ago, that would have ruined the WD Company for sure. I have comcast tripple play and up until a week ago i had nothing but problems, it took 7 tech visists and over 30 phone calls to get it fixed and start getting credit for some of what we paid them for crappy service. They would probably rape the companies copywrites then sell the parks to someone like SF or CF and lisence them back to them.

This reminded me of a time I was doing some cleaning at a counseling center. When A-B acquired Sea World, there were these cartoons posted on the wall of Clydesdales jumping out of the water for a fish, of Ed McMahon with his arm around Shamu, etc..
It would be so nice if they kept jobs here in America where they're needed, instead of outsourcing them overseas. Granted, A-B went to Belguim not China (shudder--remember what they did to pet food?), but still--!
This economy is going to continue on a downhill slide if they keep sending jobs overseas and American companies are being bought out by foreign interests. Starbucks is closing 600 low-performing stores, kicking 12,000 workers to the curb. Even the L.A. Times is having to cut back on its staff.
Where's it going to end?

The whole sale of Anheuser Busch to InBEv sickens me. When will America wake up and realize we are losing our heritage to foreign companies who care for nothing but the bottom line.
I have been to Sea World San Diego several times and under AB ownership, the park has been clean, the food and drink excellent (I think it is better than DL), and the animals looked to be well cared for. I can't imagine another buyer who would be as good a steward as AB has been. Perhaps the theme park operating group could be spun off into a separate company.
Oh while I am sure the line about the Clydesdale horses being sold to Sizzler was meant to be a joke, if anyone has seen footage of horses being slaughtered,it's no laughing matter. It is the sickest thing you will ever see.

It will be interesting to see what InBev does with the Clydesdales. I was told by a reliable source that in the original will of August (sp) Busch, it was written that the Clydesdales were never to be sold off and had to remain a part of AB. Let's see if InBev changes things. Those horses are as much a part of AB as apple pie is to America..........

I would thaink that if they were smart, they would keep the horses and wagons. After all, that is instant product recognition!
I wonder if that is why Schlitz started brewing again with the 1960's formula.
Give something for the people that only "buy american" can go too!

I can tell you as a forer A-B security person.. that their is more at stake then just BG, and SW ( and its spin off's ), their is multiple water parks across the country, and a couple of non-BG theme parks out their ( I.E. Seaseme Place ) yes thats right Elmo will go homeless.
Now, The A-B parks system will not go away, and i believe that what happened to the Paramount Parks will happen to the A-B parks as well. A well known park operator will come to the rescue after asking for a price cut due to location and then turn around and pump in MAJOR dollar to repair the facilities and the image in the community. I know the Paramount Park i worked at had MAJOR problems that cost millions to repair and was not disclosed in the initial purches by Cedar Fair.
Now, I have a sneaking suspicion that Disney will buy at least the Seaworld Properties to add to its Animal Conservation efforts ( and we need something thats aquatic themed anyway.... and no The Seas at EPCOT do not count ). As for BG and the off shots to them.. I dont know If Disney would buy theme or not. I know that Six Flags would not be able to purches them due to the fact that they are going into a big money problem and may have to close a couple of their parks just get out of the red... but we will see.....
